There's way too much mass in the upper body. What's up with those hexagon shoulders and the hand mounted HRMC doesn't work.
Genuinely uncertain what you mean about the Zeta; comparing the store pic to the render looks like the detail level is about the same.
IMO Zeta still fugly. Just posted this to repeat: They should let Javier do every major miniature Though Sphinx in Combat-Stilettos is still cool enough, even if it's not from Javier ...
That's exactly my point? Now compare it to the artwork design. We saw the render as a leak and hoped this was some kind early version. I didn't follow the TAGs to see if the render got released officially and still looked the same. So I'm disappointed the details from original design is mostly gone and it's just flat blocks of armour that need detail painted on them. Boring.
Man, I want that Blue Wolf, it's goddamn sublime, but have no interest in Yu Jing as a faction. Wish it was in WhiteCo instead of the Guija. It'd make a great Tikbalang proxy if I didn't already have the official sculpt.
I already own a painted cutter, painted tik, an unpainted Toni tik. dont play YJ, dont play CA and havent touched my O-12 is quite some time. hmmmmm
I have to weight it against all the other things that are cool though! Like the Sphinx, the C1 booster packs, the new Cutter (even if I haven't painted the old one yet), Beyond Kaldstrøm, more O-12, Dire Foes (want that Casanova and miner girl so bad) and a bunch of other stuff! First World problems man!
I will get him, the Sphinx and the dire foes for my yu jing and shasvastii for sure. Just one piece after another. No problem at all :D
Nice to see all the new TAG models - I can't wait for the Shakush to come! Don't get me wrong, the Blue Wolf is a great miniature, but can the pilot really fit in the placement where his little arms appear to be? I'm a fan of the hook sword of the Guijia and wished he'd been given one as per his dossier instead of the WolfyWolfClaw. Having said that, I can't wait to see conversions and paintjobs for it though once it's released to get a better impression!
Zeta probably look better in a decent Heavy Arms Gundam color scheme. Bonus points if you can get a Gundam crest for that size figure. :)
I still think the Zeta looks fantastic apart from the wrist mounted HMC. Think after I make it a proper full gun forearm (think Samus or Megaman) it will be much better. Cutter and the Blue Wolf are super sexy too
I will do exactly that. Give that wolf a sword as I hoped for the dope hooksword! Shouldn't be too hard of a conversion. Tilting the wrist a little drill and pin the hand and build the sword.
@Fed4ykin Please link me if you should ever put pictures online of the finished conversion! My skills with making stuff from scratch is pretty poor, I'm tempted to get the Guijia just so I have a template to copy from :D
Concept: Painted model: I’m still not sure I’m seeing it. Are you simply pointing out that the light grey patches are painted on rather than sculpted detail? Everything seems to match pretty well to me.
Two obvious approaches to the problem: Spoiler: Different kind of specialist needed This one to go as pilot. Or this one to prepare the pilot. Or maybe just leave the arms out and cover the holes.
@Mob of Blondes I appreciate your replies, mostly I appreciate the humour in these times (even if in poor taste!) :) You're absolutely right about simply removing the arms, though I learnt to appreciate the arms from their Anime origin. The Wolf aesthetic would probably look better without the arms, leaving one wondering if it's truly a TAG or a Wolf Spirit embodied inside. Now... which of the older Infinity models would make a great base for that first suggestion as a pilot hehe!
