    Combat Jump is an optional deployment skill;

    Seed-Embryo is an Obligatory skill with a reference to Combat Jump.

    Does the Obligatory nature, and wording of Seed, mandate the use of Combat Jump? Or is Combat Jump still an optional deployment, and you can choose to deploy Cadmus and Decoy in your DZ?

    I don't think combat jump is mandatory; it's just ensuring that you place the correct model state when you deploy.

    ‘Applying the Combat Jump rule as usual’

    Which is going to include all Labels of the Combat Jump Skill.

    Sure, that's fine. It's just contrary to how Cadmus worked historically... It also just feels a little needlessly specific for the Combat Jump, given the Cadmus doesn't have Camo so had no ability to deploy as such.

    Wait, what? It’s identical. The Cadmus could deploy normally, but didn’t get Camo, or it could use Combat Jump. That hasn’t changed in three editions.

    Maybe I'm misremembering, but I remember N2 Cadmus (the last time I played Shas) as being obligated to deploy by Combat Jump under the Seed rules...

    Yeah, you’re mis-remembering. If it used Airborne Deployment it had to use Combat Jump and couldn’t downgrade to lower levels.
