There is no change facing in N4, and man you really dont want to be a victim of ZoC exploits now once delay of SS is gone.....
Well no more Change Facing means you get a full Dodge now. Which can engage. So If I had to pick someone to FTF against Uxia eating a -6 from her own Smoke trying to ZOC trick me, I'd pick some Knight with Sixth Sense dodging into CC on 14/17. ...or Dodge around the Corner so she has to drop another Smoke and try again.
Well sure, but enemy would have to put her in 2" or 3" proximity of your knights ... (unlikely) Plus on top of that Uxia is actually double good against knights in CC due to her either superb CC weapon (D-Charges), or double Burst in CC thanks to Assault Pistol (+1B). ok, other Uxia (no MSV1) profile has special Assault pistol
Man, more than 5 years of this game and I still confuse those 2 skills ;P Also: it seems to work on whole game table..... (similar to EVO hack transport program being used when enemy HI walks into repeater)
Page 25 states that "enemies entering or acting inside the zone of control of a trooper while remaining outside the troopers LoF can be reacted to but only by using the common skills Dodge or Reset"
Yes, that means the best thing you can do is dodge, which in turn means you cannot offensively affect attacker, and he can shoot you till you are dead or he runs out of ammo (orders). (ok you might be able to engage him, but I wouldn't count on passing several dodges in a row ;P)
Right but i was referencing the Santiago having a 360 visor and surprising my opponent when they tried to combat drop or AD behind them. And with an AD situation if they drop within 8 you can now on a non 360 troop dodge to change facing on base ph
It does but we always knew it would, examples include fast climbing plus ORCs that are cheaper and want to get in close MI that are faster with mobility skills And a general reliance in resilience and fighting your way through the opponent rather than around them. Almost like some of us said that would happen months ago
The mix of fast and slow, and Hackable/unhackable, would bother me but it would be undeniably strong. The tricky bit would be linked MSV snipers, now extremely common, because you can't sneak the Bulleteer in close to wreck it with the Friar, who can march up in plain view. Perhaps something I'd consider as backup in an Aquila HMG list. The bit that has me excited for NCA links most is the new 'Kit rules, a Haris of Bolt Paramedic, NCA Machinist and a gunner gives you B2 'Kits of both varieties for reliable healing, and you can easily scale the link up to a Core for another +3 to hit.
Mmmm auxilia has been gone to the army! Without Auxilias and mining regulars we don't have cheap units to protect the deployment zone, at least before late November
Yeah not like helots, fugazi, warcors, link teams or free SF exist. There are tonnes of cheap defensive units in pano, often ones we can fit in easily if running heavy hitters are we dont struggle to stay under the 15 cap and keep all our units
