What will Onyx become in N4?

What sort of fun haris can we have now then? I guess it's based off a Samritan, Suryat Ko Dali & nexus combo? Can't see any other format.

Meh, we still need to pay 40+pts for units fragile as a thin branch... Suryats and Xeodrons buffs are awesome, but that's it...

@ijw , how protheion power-up will interact with shock ammo now?

 

Unless it gets FAQed, you’re good as long as you’ve still got a Power Up Token.

What if the Umbra get a power-up token and then wounded, using NWI, shock will kill it directly?

 

They still have Haris. That's (another) Army bug.

For the moment, I suggest completely ignoring Army for Fireteam information, and just go by the Sectorial charts.

Sorry, I thought that was already answered. If the Umbra ends the Order ‘Unconscious’ using NWI, and failed a Saving Roll against Shock that Order, they will die.

EDIT - note that I’d be overjoyed if they got Immunity (Shock) on their profile, or gained it as soon as they got a Power Up Token, but that’s the current rule.

more to the point, having 2W doesn't actually protect you from the effects of shock anymore, which is why you have all those 2W models that just got shock immunity as a rule.

Also, overdron is looking very tasty. Only thing holding back the twin plasma sniper is the lack of an smg or pistol, but otherwise thats a fantastic gun platform now.

 

I dont know why you would take the plasma Overdron when HRMC is sitting at 63 points. That's some spicy tech.

 

overdron should have B2 in reactive.

 

Better range, though that very much depends on terrain

The real answer of course is why not both? the sniper does however have to still contend with the HRL in it's niche of cheaper (if lower damage output) blast templates the HRL also now comes with an SMG which overcomes some of the model within 16" conundrum Overdron used to have, however being cheaper you can afford more babysitters anyway now.

 

Yeah, being able to attack, then retreat and go into Suppressive Fire is a pretty big deal for the HRL option.
