These are what have jumped out at me on first glance: - Ghulams are a point cheaper! That's particularly nice considering the change to their shotguns is arguably a boost for them. - Tarik is pretty thoroughly nerfed. - 6 points for a camo Daylami deploying without a roll anywhere on your own half of the table, if I'm reading it right... - Barid went up a point, but the KHD got a very deadly upgrade. - Mutts, but we already knew. - Cheap Asawiras - **Fidays are amazing. A big point drop, and we no longer have to choose between mines and DA CCW. And they're no longer crippled against aliens (thank you CB for listening!) The change to shotguns isn't great for them, but at this point cost, trading with a DTW feels a lot better. - Conversely, Al-Djabel is looking pretty poor without B2 in cc. - Sniper minelayer Hawwa is surprising and welcome. He can go in group 2 with four Daylamis. - 5-point Kum!!
Muyibs BS13, Ragik with imm(shock), Lasiq with haris and all Ayyar's profiles with suprise attack (-6)
IMO the two biggest positive changes are the Daylami turret and that Farzans get mines. Haqq's ARO game is fucking legit and hassassins in particular have big dick energy right now. Almost certain that Daylami will be patched, there is no way this could stay legit unless they are sure tactical window will put the breaks on them. This is one of the very best ARO options in the entire game as is, better than jammer mutts ever were imo Biggest negative changes are that Impersonators are worse now with the ARO rules, and that Djabel lost B2. Not going to shed a tear for Impersonators though.
I've played them both quite a bit, definitely prefer the Fiday and thats before price cuts. I find 2W ain't shit on a troop like this, what you want is evasion (smoke, repeatable impersonate state) and sheer "DPS" where I find the melee attack is better than the BS attacks. The main thing the Kiuutan (spiral version) has over the Fiday is EM mines.
The zone of control dodge rules are going to make fragile, close range units a different proposition than before. The enemy army doesn't just stand there in the same positions for a whole turn being shot in the back lol. They still work, but without the impunity of earlier editions.
He still hast Super Jump... I do agree that FAT 2 ws awesome, and he also lost Poison, got replaced with DA+Shock, but Immunity to crits and NBW, plus a little point drop, it wasnt SO bad...
Provisionally, I agree with you. Camo markers with panzerfausts starting where the pf reaches right to the back of the board in its good range, for 6 points... That said, I've only started to play around with theorycrafting, but so far I'm finding that with 4 Daylamis and a Hawwa sniper in group two, it's hard to fill group one. SWC actually matters for Haqq now!
My go-to has been "build your list, buy dalami with whatever is left" and I imagine N4 will be the same. If SWC is an issue, a mix of daylami and Mutts will work too. Maybe even a Kum - not as good but can swap to G1 and attack pretty well, and is the same 5pts Also don't forget, they are also essentially a multi-use mine too with the light shotgun.
That and Nr 2 profile, for those of us, who dont want to pay for Muyibs. The +1 CT profile is nice to. Makes lists with irregulars, a bit more viable.
