Faction identity? Given that CB seems to be trying to normalize the available tools somewhat across factions, having more variation in fireteam composition helps one faction stand out from another. I think that factions that are meant to have more integration and less rigid command structure, or that are meant to represent veterans who are more skilled at adaptive cooperation, are reasonable places to find relatively flexible fireteam options. It also gives those sectorials something to attract players besides weird combinations of unit AVA. My take on White Company fireteams is that they’re made up of people who are veterans in an irregular merc outfit, but rather than giving them all the Veteran skill’s benefits, instead they get the ability to cooperate in more flexible out-of-the-box ways than the more regular organization of YJ or PanO permit. Same for Dahshat, where the model seems to be using troops in slightly unconventional but effective formations.
It's amazing how Nomads got hacking and MI as "faction identities" plus it seems now free for all fireteams and HI pain trains while other factions don't seem to have a faction identity AT ALL I mean, what's the reason WB cant even have Jujak fireteams?
Why all this talk about nomads, when we have all the fun new Yu jing stuff ? jujak in WB ? Isnt the harris with the super shang ji and 2 jujaks great ?
As with nearly everything in White Banner, I'm more excited about the applications of Super Shang Ji in vanilla. Upwards of 50 points for one extra burst isn't really worth it when you can just drag this beefcake around on his own. Half the reason you wanted to take a fireteam was for the tinbot, and he comes with that now.
This Haris? https://infinitytheuniverse.com/army/list/gM0Md2hpdGUtYmFubmVyASCBLAEBAwCF1gEIAACF1gECAACAlgELAA== (I have no clue where to push to get a forum export any more) It's alright on paper. Will have to see how it works in game. Engineer Jujak is there to fix stuff and supply Panzerfaust AROs, the other Jujak is there to burn stuff that gets close. Shang-Ji is there to win the game. Considering that padding this Fireteam a bit to a Core is not THAT far off, though... If they did dump FTO, do consider that Tinbots are now ALL Fireteam spreading, so a Neuro Yan Huo would spread it to all members of the Fireteam which would be.... FUN.
Is no one talking about the Shang Ji Heavy Rocket Launcher with Tac Awareness and BS Attack (Shock)? Also how we lost the Smart Missile Launcher REM option from IA fireteams :(.
Lack of Jujak fireteam is kinda weird imo. Honestly, the only thing that has me really scratching my head so far is the fact that Qiang Gao got nerfed pretty heavily. It would be nice if it's because he's got a missing skill. It was, but currently there are no specified FTO loadouts in Army. And with the B6 Kriza being a possibility, that means B6 HRMC Yan Huo is a possibility as well.
Yan huo with NCO Tai sheng and either tactical awerness tinbot shang ji or zuyong tac awerness with tinbots. Seems good but pricy. There is so many cool harris teams around.
IA fireteams have me REALLY excited. I'm curious how much having 2 Haidao in a link might change things as well, not to mention maybe using the 21 pt base Haidao as a 1.9W BS13 link filler.
This seems possible, now that the Haris requirement is not there anymore: Tai Sheng with Tinbot B Yan Huo FTO Haidao KHD
The Yan Huo being 4-4 is actually a big deal now that I think about it. I mostly treated the old Yan Huo haris as a more-or-less stationary turret before (maybe wrongfully). Though... none of the listed profiles have haris, so I think that might be illegal.
Just replace with Shanger HD. Those things are nasty with a Firewall and they're fairly versatile now that KHDs don't punch through Firewalls
Really scratch my head with the Jujak link restrictions in WBA. It's a sectorial defining unit why force a Shang Ji Invincible?. Also really weird stuff happing with Kuang shi in IS. Seems you can only enlist 4 per controller.
But Yan huo has special harris ? Just add wildcards ? Edit: ah just saw that non yet have been named FTO. I assumed it was a change to all from N3. Sadface
For the latter question at least, BS Attack (Guided) is built into the Son-Bae itself. That regular Missile Launcher can drop AP+EXP Impact Templates onto anything Targeted on the table. Edit; it also has hilarious consequences for Panoplies!
I'm not too bothered by that change to Kuang Shi. You probably won't be using more than a single bloc of them with the 15 man cap anyway. Wu Ming Haris, on the other hand, looks awesome. Especially with the new wildcard functionalities. ISS continues to hold the mantle as CB's best sectoral.
Thanks for clarifying, can that controller be in a Fireteam core with normal Celestial Guards? Also, which Yanhuo are FTO? Please let it be the HRMC
