Thanks! Honestly - pending link options - they're exactly what I wanted except for the unasked for + MSV and - Assault Pistol. Completely agree about the unique role: without MSV they'd be hitting a cheaper pricepoint and would have been awesome as the "glue" unit that fills out the rest of CJC's links. Still hopeful of getting them able to Haris with Tsykons - Tysklon + (K)Hacker + Engineer sounds like an epic trio. Also, little bit disappointed that the Spitfire got the NCO option, I'd have actually preferred to see it on the LT/Combi+LFT. LT with NCO is amusing (depending on how LT and Fireteams come out). But that's because I like faction weaknesses as much strengths. Assuming that they don't get cheap filler, I think they're going to an excellent button-pushing midfield Haris - this type of link should be extremely valuable in N4 because of its inherent order efficiency. Little bit disappointed about what that means for the Wildcat Core builds I used to like. // The other interesting thing is what this means for Grenzers - there's very little difference in the new Wildcat and the old Grenzer (2nd Pistol instead of D-Charge, +1ARM instead of No 2). 24pt Grenzers opens up significant options for TJC.
Hmmm... Isn't that Terrain(Total) making them move at +1" to both MOV attributes in all special terrain? At least that was mentioned in one those Studio Update videos by Bostria. If such, then those cats are quick.
So, given the EVAders are amazing and if the ORC is any indication MB will have an 8ish point drop, and given the new Haqq TAG Geckos will probably be in the 40-45 range, can CJC become a decent HI/IA light sectorial? I was always sold the concept of CJC as the direct action/brute force wing of the nomads and fielding 10-15 orders of double hard hombres seems pretty nice to me. I am thinking we can probably get similar mixed links to N3, with 3 EVA/dak/lupe core breaking in at 120ish, how do we spend the rest? Vostoks seem mandatory for an armored core list, what would the rest be?
Hard hombres and mujeres, cabrón! TBH I want to see MB become 6-2 and get a Haris options somwhere. That would make a 3-man push into the centerline great, and compete with the Geckos for midfield durability. I think yes, we were already tough if we wanted to (and we decent support), better prices are going to make our support more complete. To your last question, for me, the rest would be Bandits and Moran to pad the midfield, everything else is up to taste. We have so many ways to go: Jaguar Haris with Intruder, Gecko for a durable late game push, double/hellcats or McM for a wild first turn...
I "totally" did not understand that (pun intended). Because there needs to be "some" kind of terrain declared on the table right? Unless ITS declares "Tables are considered Terrain (urban) unless otherwise noted". Quite a few units will gain move...
Yeah my idea of a Mangrove table is seeming like an inspired idea to get a home-ground advantage when I want to run massed Wildcats.
no one want mentioned yet that now the different kind of Tsyklon Sputnik can be added to any fireteam in Corregidor ? I guess that will be the joy of many players, mine included considering the way new fireteam can be build. Maybe too many wildcards around but, on the other hand, now Corregidor does really have a lot more flexibility than before Edit : reviewed the name, to make clear it goes for both Tsyklon and the new Vostok
Why would you want to field Tsyklon in a fireteam, when there's ODD Vostok - just existing... it is sooooo superior to Tsyklon, unless Tsyk gets a +1STR and mod remake.
thanks for pointing it ! I had to clarify that now both version can be added to any Fireteam. As stated in the screenshot below. It was my bad not using the right wording to describe it. Between the two I still think the Tsyklon does still have space in any list. None the less the fact the Vostok does not come for few points on its own. And I think that would be another reason why it will receive lots of attention from the opponent
Doubtful... it's the plus-price option, unique to Nomads (until all the other factions get STR2 REMs with their own unique spins on it). Tysklons are there for when you can't afford Vostok. I also have to write Poyekhali! ("Let's go!"/Поéхали) in Cyrllic on the side of mine, when I get it.
Still can't go over everything without profiles but some quick reacts. The primary Tsyklon profile was and will remain the feuerbach. Even after everything I've seen I believe it will still be the primary linked ARO. Geckos remain the only duo but have many more duo options, including the Engineer EVAders. Brigada have some growing up to do if they ever want to be taken now that EVAs got wildcard. If not they will shrink down to just the HMG profile, which is looking better as Spitfires are thrown around. Will anything beat Jaguar+Wildcard haris? Will Jaguar+EVA core become a finally viable offense core? Honestly it might. Jags might be going up in cost with the loss of frenzy thou, which I think is fair they've always been too cheap. In general EVAs getting wildcard shows me a lot of great roles for them, but I think it was a mistake. What I'm not unhappy about is EVA engineer and Gecko duo. If anyone has the background to justify a lot of Wildcards it's Corregidor but EVAs should have been left out imo.
Agree partially, we need to see the profiles. A MB ML ARO in a full link can still be a great tool especially if the price drops. A Wildcat Haris with the new NCO Spitfire plus EVAs plus another especialist (or Massacre!) will also be a nice shooting versatile Haris. The new REM linked will be abusive, really, but I am a bit sad to see the Supportware now tied only to EVO hackers... and our HDs not being able to hurt back a KHD is also a big nerf when we can run several high-quality "normal" HDs (unless Jazz retains Maestro, then I will not dare complain).
For me Wildcat Haris will usually be pure or mixed with other units that have the correct terrain type to avoid slowing them down.
I am curious what extra programs Jazz, Valerya and the Alguaciles Hacker get. I hope for an EVO program on Jazz - like just enhanced reaction for lone REMs not part of a Fireteam for example
It would be interesting if each Hacker gets its own "niche": - Jazz, a semi-KHD with Maestro, - Valerya, a support HD with an EVO program (perhaps different profiles with different upgrades?), - Alg Hacker, nothing, because nobody loves you, sorry.
A friend told me CB mentioned Upgrade programs are gone - he can't point me to the exact source though. If that is true than sad panda. Upgrades on top of HDs were pretty nice way to differentiate super hackers from standard hackers. Just few more days to go and we will see.
