Someone on this forum made a head swap using the old pheasant sniper head, and it looked absolutely stunning. I've still to make my own, I'll probably finally get to it if I jump back on the ISS bandwagon for N4.
I had a braid of the beyond red veil ragik laying around and gave it to the red fury pheasant. Isn't really a high tech braid, but at least a braid. The ragik is a yuan yuan now.
I miss the braids on the pheasant, so I took and old daofei braid and have my peasant red fury one..It looks great and adds a lot of that pose. I do love the camo cloak look on the daofei, makes them so bad ass looking. Fortunately cranes still have braids. The spitfire crane's braid is soooo thic though, damn. I'm optimistic for the pheasant with the rumored changes to cc pricing. I also really want Jing Qo to come down a bit
Even with all the negativity, all I want from N4 is for IA and WB to be less bland. And maybe SI for the Zencha and a reason to field the Guijia.
Ideally I'd remove NWI+SI from the game, but that horse has been beaten to death already. On the other hand I can see them giving the Guijia Super Jump now it's been nerfed to the ground, like when they gave us linkable Jammers knowing they would be nerfed [emoji16]
I might regret asking but why 2 wounds? Maybe its because I don't really doctor things at the best of times but something with climbing+ in the midfield seems like a terrible candidate for needing to be able to be doctored. I actually see NWI+SI on zhencha and liu xing as buffs. You're less likely to leave a corpse for easy classifieds or protheon noms. I'm just waiting for the multi-rifle sculpt. Hacker drop troops have never been my jam. I think Louie will do quite nicely in N4 and I'm always eyeing up an opportunity for the 1 LX 2 tiger firefight list.
Because Yu Jing is meant to have the best power armour, not unreliable power armour that makes it so "This soldier has a super-human capacity to endure pain and maintain consciousness in the face of terrible injuries.", (except when faced with the extremely common battlefield malady, shock). Good power armour has 2 wounds, the Zuyong suit from which the specialist suits are derived bestows 2 wounds. If I just wanted my stuff to be good and min-max'd I'd play VIRD/OSS.
It should have been two wounds and have Abedo, to fit with the shooting star theme and being chonkier than a zuyong. The AOE attack can go.

Going back to the original ethos of this thread, White Banner and Invincible Army are kind of just dumpster fires as far as thematic coherency is concerned. Daofei and Tigers not in Invincible Army, of which they're founding members. Hac Tao not in White Banner (...but muh white face masks...), while Lei Gong, Qiang Guo, and Shang Ji are better represented here than in their home sectorial. For those questioning the complaints people make about Invincible Army, it was never really about the potency. We know it can function solidly at lower and higher levels of play. The problem is the lack of variance in army compositional options and a glut of profiles that are either not worth using (Liu Xing, Hulang, Krit Kokram, Guijia, Yan Huo -- the latter most of which might be rectified by point changes in N4), or given away to other factions where they are optimized to degenerate degree (Zuyongs, Zhencha, and Rui Shi in Dashat, soon to be Haidao in White Company, and in the case of White Banner, the Tian Guo is going over to O-12 before we even get a model for him). Moreover, these other factions don't suffer from the same setbacks that Invincible Army was supposedly designed around for game balance purposes, leaving many of the arbitrary restrictions imposed upon the sectorial that no other major faction suffers feel just that, arbitrary. Really, a lot of stuff doesn't really add up as far as these issues are concerned, and CB has done a very poor job of expressing why they've chosen this avenue in the first place. Personally, I'm content playing Vanilla and ISS. Both function with great potency and versatility. I have all the models for them, I wouldn't mind if Invincible Army and White Banner received a bit more refinement to make them worth actually playing on my end.
I'll never understand the masochist addiction to comparing isolated profiles between factions to feel salty. Genuinely if our profiles matched everything people in these threads demand yu Jing would be absolutely broken as fuck. I will add that I do agree that the thematic choices made for the recent sectorials have been quite head scratchy. White banner is hopefully shoddy as an N3 port, because other than tigers I really don't agree with most of the IA hate.
Okay, don't copy those profiles. Just put an ounce of effort into the Liu Xing proper. Although outside of some minor modifications, Cuervo is pretty damned close to what I would have liked to have seen after the first look at the Liu Xing concept and dossier.
10 Points for +1 PH and CC skills? No Thanks. They don't look like CC troops IMO. I think the biggest problem with the Liu Xing was it was the first spoiler after Uprising and suffered horrifically from inflated expectations. 1 more PH would be nice. D-charges and (maybe) spec op on the spitfire profile would be nice. With a cost discount I'll be pretty happy with the Liu Xing. Would the crushers be a better drop troop? Yes. Do I care that the liu xing isn't a crusher? No. I like the liu xing.
