New N4 rules so far

    Besides accidentally crit-killing Shinobu with trash troopers?

    A few times, typically when I've used the silent trait it has had a really huge impact on the game, like getting Saito to carve his way through a cheerleader line without getting DTW:ed when he steps out of the smoke, though since Oniwabans don't have knives that usage has been fairly low and that's been the unit I've played that most often found themselves in positions where a knife would've been an asset.

    Looks like Corregidor got a nice boost even if the price went up a bit! MSV1 on all, NCO on spitfire, total terrain, Number 2 on all. I think not bad.

    Most forum Nomads don't seem too pleased with higher point cost and compare the profile to the TJC Grenzer.

    I for one am excited about the additional MSV option and depending on what their link options are they could be some pretty useful fireteam additions. The premium price for a MI is a bummer but they bring A LOT of tools to the table. They feel like CJC born and raised swiss armyknifes.

    Rarely, but there have been times where I wish I had one to either sneaky kill some stuff or straight up kill a thing so it doesn't explode.

    I've never seen the Silent attribute used, but as pseudo-shock CCWs they were used against me constantly as a counter to gaki-related shenanigans and similar. They were probably the most common close combat weapon for me to take hits from.

    I've used the silent component on bows many times, don't think the knife has ever come up on purpose, just as the only way to defend themselves.

    Hey so there is no more falling damage? Can Super Jump still just leap into the air max distance then fall max height? Or is really limited to half the MOV value up and half down? C1 doesn't say anything about falling in the wiki and Super Jump doesn't either.

    Climbing Plus C1 says to treat it as a regular climb but cover says to treat partial cover as any scenery item in contact with and partially obscures your silhouette.
    I'm assuming the best we can do about this is house rule it with TOs.

    There's no leanout anymore?

    I saw someone say standing on a flat roof (having the high ground) will provide cover can they can't see the back of your base? How does Climbing plus not get cover even while up against an obstruction on the side of a building?

    Anyone will official knowledge reading these is more than welcome to chime in cause at the moment this is a step back in progress. given the new cover rules, allowing climbing plus to get cover while on a wall would not have broken the game.

    Climbing (plus) and (super) jumping troopers couldn't claim cover in N3, this continues into C1 (and presumably N4).

    In C1 jumping troopers must end their jump with their base in contact with a surface, a trooper can never be in a position when they would fall.

    C1 makes moves that would cause falling Illegal, N4 we don't know yet.

    It was in the livestream that if they cant complete the jump move they idle instead. Sorry, i cant give a timecode, but i do remember that coming up.

    To be clear, it was.... if you declare jump, and then start to measure and find a legal place to jump to, and can't find one, you idle.

    Then I'm misremembering some shit but it's been a good minute and for some reason I remember some sort of shit about being prone on a surface giving cover. Whatever, new edition still should have made it proper of they went ahead and gave cover to everything else willy nilly..

    Well I'd be super pissed if they didn't get an increase. Compared the like the Ye Mao it would be horrible. Ye Mao are also MSV MI, but they have BS12. However, they have mimetisim, super jump, multi-rifle & chain colt, putting the basic trooper at 27pts to Wildcats 24pts. Then for some reason they get a HRL for a point cheaper! WTF? And I'd love a NCO spitfire at least in White Banner.
