The taighas are the main ones that seems odd to not have been released for retail yet. I can see proxying a shas for another shas, but the taighas are different enough to be fun. Victor and Aida have been around for a long time, I don't think of Defiance as a requirement for Shas, but as another chance to get some models that I can't. (Well, and a game, obviously.)
Well, the boots are part of the character, so... I mean, when part of their whole thing is the grav boots that keep them from get swept off the trucks, kind of have to show that... and, if we're honest, people would complain no matter how CB represented it...
Hypothetically all the Defiance stuff should get generic releases, but they might want to get the KS shipped before they double up on characters.
Was it in Defiance where they have a new Shinobu sculpt? Only one reasonable wish of CB, that they stop making products where sculpts are nested in large purchases that people can't afford.
Yeah, in an interview Bostria said a new general release sculpt was likely as they already have a 3D mannequin.
so, with Defiance and general releases... Uxia will go up to 5 sculpts? Is getting closer of Joan and Mushashi
I think a lot of people bought Defiance just for the minis, which I think is kind of unfortunate. I’m looking forward to playing the board game, but I’m also editing my purchases of new Shasvastii models so I don’t end up with unnecessary duplicates.
If I had a group of people to play with regularly I would too, it looks to be major fun and the big bad looks amazing but I'm presently caught up in all sorts of shit. So I'm just looking forward to the new rules to see what I want to get back into, then put some paint down in a new style and eventually hit up some tourneys just to get as much play time in for a single day as possible.
Check your privilege, not everyone is able to come back from work and have an escapist sci fi minis game.
Bro, when you encounter concern-trolling crap like that, just quietly put the person on ignore and go about your life. Don't give them space in your head, not for even one second. Yes, it is absolutely concern trolling. Monstrucker is silly, but no sillier than the Kosmoflot werebear. It seems that way. I bought it specifically to play with several friends who like Co-op games, especially dungeon style ones. Painting the 43 minis I get (at collector level it's 43, IIRC) will be an interesting challenge. How does one speed paint Shasvastii anyway? I'll have a bit of time. Two of my gaming friends have some chronic health issues, so there will be no get-togethers for the foreseeable future, since they are very much at high risk. It is going to be a visually spectacular game. Easily the best looking co-op I've ever played. I am very much looking to many fun gaming nights of Defiance.
Get a couple of those telepresence robots like https://www.forbes.com/sites/joanve...eat-at-selling-art-now-what-else-can-they-do/ Yeah, I know, expensive. But if things keep on going the 2020-way (Oxford vaccine setback announced... meh), they will become more spread and cheaper, even if they are just "screen + webcam + base in table with a few servos" contraptions.
I have literally no idea what that’s supposed to mean. Can’t tell who you think is “concern trolling,” I’m just sick to death of a certain strain of pointless arguments about tiny army mans, to the point that I’m glad I will likely never meet certain forumites IRL regardless of which side of the debate they fall on. Personally I like the Monstrucker and plan to buy one, Mario movie boots and all. Cheers!
Same. Got all worked up over the pinup concept art and then... *gestures helplessly* Any ideas for a good Casanova proxy that looks the part?
I really hate the Mostrucker. With those boots and both weapons on his hands he looks out of proportion. Mario looks way better. And the worst part is comparing his profile with almost any other engineer. I was hoping for an attractive engi in O12 and I have to choose between boring BIG HANDS Lambda and this guy. Makes me sad
The kickstarter was dessigned that way, almost no incentives for the game itself, but for miniatures, but the main proof is that the game will not have a normal release when it is finished.
Defiance being a 100% exclusive drop at its core was a good decision to sell stuff to the kickstarter crowd. Feels okay als collector for as long as cb doesnt go the joan spitfire route and rereleases the minis with many different arm swaps. Got a lot of "normal" buyers in my club annoyed. They just needed/wanted some of the faction units. Standard release might take 1-3 years for the characters and never happen for standard units. That added salt to the wound of alsways having to fear your sector getting merffd. I personally liked collecting all the old oop pano units and stuff and am okay with cb releasing exclusives for normal releases as incentive. But late 2019/2020 feels like every month is 1 new character mini tryng to fomo me into buyng something. I know its not true but i have to remind myself of defiance when a month doesnt present new le minis. My pile is growing. My interest in new releases is falling. You can easily play some factions with character-only-in-faction-proxies and still have reposed dupes of those characters. Maybe a fix of dire foes where its just an end-of-the-year collection of some exclusives might be good. The foes rarly recieve praise for their profiles. Apart from konstantin their fluff doesnt seem to get circled when fluffgeeking at meet ups. Dont like the already rare and pricy tournament packs keeping an even more exclusive version. I like the monstruker model but i dont get why its not the smg profile. Must be only me who played the unit for a year (always with tag and joan) and 90% used it with/for smg/engi duty. Will keep proxing the unit with smg dart. I got used to thinking of it as a female badass wallclimbing engi and pano didnt get parvati.
