Not quite TO Camo, they have Mimetism -6 and Hidden Deployment, but no Camouflage skill so no marker state/surprise shot.
Not really Camo but you are right. Apart from that, Faction idendity has been blown out of the window. HD should be enough for Surprise Shot, I would have thought. Otherwise the Skill on the Nadhir is pointless.
Hidden Deployment is a super useful skill with or without surprise shot, being able to completely hide a trooper's presence and location (especially one with deployment skills) is far far from pointless.
Oh, I didn't notice that. That is a big difference. That explains its cheap cost compared to TO camo units. But wait, theres more! The best part is a much needed nerf to jammers now that firewalls apply to them and the Ghazi is now nerfed as well. If you want the old toolbox profile you need to pay for a BSG now raising the cost to a more fair 10 points. Also, more wildcard options. Most interesting is that Muyibs are now wildcards. So you can mix and max Muyibs + Govads + Asawira + the new MSV 2 unit.
Guys, more important are the new fire team options! Muyibs + Govads + Asawira + the new MSV 2 unit all in one link.
It seems everybody is gonna get the "put whatever the fuck you want into your optimized fireteam" treatment now?
Still crossing fingers for the Sniper on the Farzan since we get two shiny new forward deployed Specialists.
Well... while I agree that Farzans do not live up to their fluff of "experienced instructors, ready to take the helm if the situation goes south" by being the midfield Camo Infiltrators, I somehow don't see them as snipers at all.
As for the new fireteams: forget the Asawira + Govad + Muyib + Yara.... Mix Ghulam Doc + Asawira + Muyibs + Yara instead! :) seems like. It all depends on the hopefully clear wording of the rules and the reworked profiles.
this I do not understand with the exception of the TAG - something like this does not fit my sneaky Assassins :) Do you mind to explain your feelings?
MSV 2 and two units with "ODD" now, of which one has Hidden Deployment. Those were all rules for high tech factions. And we have a Noctifier now. And with the "just take what you want" mixed Links we get even closer to other factions. And then there is the thing with our humble Irregulars, which will have a hard time justifying their place in a list. While a Ghazi is still an option I dont see Daylami any more. So the hordes of Irregulars theme is history and that makes me sad. Chain of command with Inspiring Leadership would be fitting then? Yes, it would be crazy good and would lead to suicidal Lieutanants in the first turn, so hopefully this will never see the daylight. What would you like the Farzan to be?
What would be the feeling if the Farzan base profile included Chain of Command or Executive Order? Would that be too much?
No, but for XO to work he would need HD or AD. But I also dont see the point for XO on him. What would be the gain?
