Yeah, hopefully both. Vanguards are one of few Morat units that don't seem to pay for the Morat skill (especially when compared to Celestial Guards), but 13 pts is still a bit over the top for such basic troopers as Vanguards or Celestials. Don't do it, it's a terrible trade! Don't forget mines on that 16 point Strelok. To get the most out of that Cheerkiller you need to somehow make the CC work, and that's pretty hard. Doesn't have many hard-good skills like mimetism, it's all soft-good skills that are situational and risky to use.
They look a bit like their version of Varangian but without smoke. A littel surprised they didn't give them Ikhol instead of MAL1. I mean come on their are cute girls with weapons!
Ikhol isnt a thing in N4 There's CC(-X), which replaces it, but might as well give them MA 1 so they get -3 cc and +1 damage
Well I guess I can think of it that way then since it's almost the same. I'm glad they don't have smoke though. I know the AVA shows 2 but usually when they preview these they are the Vanilla AVA. It will probably be higher in Tunguska. At least 3 for a Haris.
Wait when was the chat poll, was this when they barely gave us any info for that week of N4? And yeah, I owned QK alongside my Nomads before I went MAF and I always felt like it was all over the place with so many units and the models were great but never felt coherrent enough for me to really enjoy playing them. The cheerleader them here is strong with that hyperdynamics and super-jump. I see Haris with AVA 2 sooo I'm gonna guess link with 1 Hollow Men. At the low AVA they probably are costed correctly but CB recognized how optimized they are. Should be fun to see on the table. I dare someone to play Britney Spears on their phone while fielding them!! Were Vanguards mentioned or was this the hot cold questions that HellLois did that one time?
Is that what it is you think? You're probably right considering the number of loadouts, just confusing with the FireTeam listings. They really should be consistent with marketing these things. If it will have fireteam then show us what its gonna be in sectorial including wildcard options.
It was during the Friday Twitch stream, so not what you'd call scientific, more an audience participation thing. Profiles always show Vanilla AVA, we don't know their AVA in Tunguska yet.
He didn't mention any Morat unit, but he said that they are looking on every morat unit separately to make every of them viable. This was only thing they said about morats. Twitch chat asked about new morat skill, but they didn't said anything about it. So we need to wait and see how will morat units change. Odesláno z mého Mi 9T Pro pomocí Tapatalk
It was just an impromptu thing during their stream. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/709986550 Check from 02:15:00.
I think there's been hints that the Morat skill is being changed, with literally no detail about how; it could be substantive change or it could just be that it's getting chopped up like all other nested skills.
Judging by the "fix" to hyperoptimized low cost models (aka "now you can't play more than 15 models") I somehow doubt there was enough work put into N4 so they reevaluate every Morat (or any other faction, really) to make all of them equally playable, especially because that would kinda imply they'd done it for other ailing factions too. Not at all. All of the N4 release has felt rushed, so I'm doubting they also had time to basically rework an entire faction, or several, but I sure would love to be wrong.
For a new edition of a game, it makes sense for every unit to get a look at being updated to make it equally playable as anything else in said sectorial and for vanilla a sectorial should do at least one thing better than it's sisters with at least 1 or 2 other things competing to make it on to the list. I suspect for MAF the Kurgats will get wildcard and maybe something else while Zerat could get a perimeter weapon since they will likely not get the marker state.
Pretty sure from experience of the last few times they had new profile previews like this. The AVA was always for the Vanilla and later we saw different when the full rules came out. The only other way to make a full Haris is to add a wildcard. Which is possible. An example is back on page 28. The profile of the Volkolak is AVA2, but the sectoral listing shows them as AVA3.
