*officially freaking out* Just got my commisioned shikami and haven't even tried him out, if they're going to be gutting him from the army like 2 months after releasing him as a yu jing model I'll be sad. And red veil ninja please stay? Pretty please?
Don't panic! They had the Shikami painted in both YuJing and JSA colors, so they might be featured in both armies. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Or simply play him quickly, while you’re sure you can... that’s if you’re not just planning to play JSA wherever they are.
Yeah.. Going to play him this weekend - and as much as I'd want a JSA army - IF they exclude the shikami from vanilla yu jing I'll avoid picking it up out of spite :P (at least for a few days)
The box has new profiles like the Ryuken-9, and old "known" profiles like Keisotsu Butai, who are getting new sculpts. No repacks.
ya, it was the implication of what "some" could mean and I think you're all right. Got to love the English languages sometimes.
No, it's intended. The Kempeitai are getting remade into a Sentai group called Guaranotors that form together to make Mecha Guaranotor. Though, to be serious it is a real word based off of Guarantee. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/guarantor
Sounds like more then just JSA\Yu Jing are getting affected with the announcement next week. This is from a Facebook discussion about the ad from the magazine today.
I kinda see how they can restructure Yu Jing like this, then release IA rules with a new policy on proxies so that they dont end up at a dis-advantage given how long it might take to make all the possible new unit sculpts.
I think Carlos said at LVO that CB is like 3-4 months ahead of production too which, if I am remembering that correctly, means they have a lot of the art and sculpt already done. The big issue is how much can they really dump into retail every month to build up factions as that's the real bottleneck.
Not sure how I feel about a pirate spec-op but perhaps the miniature will defy my expectations. Hopefully the BoW week will shed som light about this. Edit: ok, having now seen the kaizoku I can rest easier. It looks ok.
This is a major blow as I decided on playing YJ based on the variety that a JSA brought to the table. Now we ended up with just one sectorial in the army and IA is bringing more of the same. I was already not very fond of unification of the aesthetics within sectorial armies and between them. Why do you think CB is so much ahead with 3d models? Because many units are just pretty much a variation of the same models with some extra detail changed/added. In theory it makes sense, but for someone who enjoys painting it is getting more and more similar to painting a horde of Space Marines. During the Wotan YJ was already pretty weak, and almost half of YJ players played JSA. The second biggest nation in Human Sphere... yeah right...... They will have to try REALLY HARD with IA to make as many players join YJ as those who left YJ with JSA. Sad day indeed :(
We don't know well IA play style. We all suspect about a lot of bli and punch but depending of thinks like links, Da troops or smoke it can change a lot. But on miniature level i'm sure it will be one of the most good looking sectorials.
As far as I can tell, the only way to make the rest of us cry: „HOW DARE YOU, CB?“ is by using resin for production. Making the release of the JSA, as cool as it is, a giant distraction and the divers of Varuna could bring their own O2 bubbles. :D I know some of you have serious fears about their beloved army but until now CB steadily improved infinity and I doubt they hadn’t think this through. This would be one of five promised new sectorials and we have no idea of either the 4 that will follow or what will replace it in Yu Jing or expand it elsewhere. Getting angry before reaching the first step just for the sake of the idea it implies is a little harsh.
Well, I didn't expect a complete separation. I still think Yu-Jing will be able to field some JSA troopers, but I don't know how the faction will change.
