Because, and I don't mean to pick on you personally, when I see this sort of suggestion no one ever goes more than one notch up. It's always the lowest possible setting available. No ideas that maybe a hacker profile would be suitable for Ayyar. Perhaps Farzan might actually display some sort of leadership tone, instead of being a very lightly equipped guy. Unless it's a TAG. :/
The thing we really need would be a strong ARO piece, after we cant use a lot Daylami and Ghazi anymore. Ayyar with Viral and/or Farzan with Sniper would be a start. And concerning you first paragraph...a 12+ point modell is already a 50 to 120% increase compared to to the REMs and Irregulars. Thats already quite the change. In addition to that, if you like to have a Ghulam Core then you have no "cheap" dudes left to cover the DZ against alpha strikes.
Hmm, the idea of mandatory Tactical Window lists across the board is... an interescting piece for mental gymnastics. First, I consider a 5-model Combat Group to be, in general, too small to actually do much. If it has 5 Regular Orders, that's good enough to power a single active model - often an Infiltrator or AD. Back in late 2ed, in my meta we used 3-Order groups with success, but these groups had to be dedicated support Groups. With 3 Orders, you could use a Hacker (through a Repeater elsewhere), or make a Doctor / Engineer try to save a downed model - although usually this required a Ghost: Servant bot to reach it first. With good deployment of these, and 3 Orders to spend it was actually quite doable. The rest of the group had to be made of cheap Order providers or decent ARO models (well, or both). However, if everyone is capped at "one and a half Group", then everyone faces the same limitations. You can't field 20-model-list, but neither cn your opponent. A secondary group with, say, 3 Ghazi Muttawi'ah and 2 inexpensive Regular Orders is, obviously, a less impressive screen of bodies than 3-4 Ghazi, 3-4 Daylami, and 2 Regular Orders, but should still get the job done. Of course, a lot depends on how exactly are the new point costs and profiles going to look like. We'll need to adapt. Can't say I'm waiting for enthusiastically, but certianly I'm looking forward to that with quite some curiosity.

(0 | 30) 4 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army This is the list (i changed the groups bevor playing) I played in my last game. 300pts 20x20 against Bakunin. 15 orders. Did fantastic - I won I do not know if this list is that different from lists you would field - I am quite new to HB and just had a couple of games, but I never used more than 16 models ever in a game.
That list is horrendously vulnerable to losses. You have so little regular orders, if you loose some, you cant do much anymore. I play with lots of irregulars, but usually I have one or rather two more regular orders. Either you are an absolutely awsome player or things happend in the game that I cant comprehend.
I find a second order group can do well with a TR bot, Doc+Engi and a few Impetuous. TR bots don't have to be moved much do do good work, and the fixers don't need many either. An Irregular Specialist can round it out perfectly for when you don't need to use the others, in Haqq a Hunzakut would be great.
Drop that awesome player thing (that is really NOT what I am) - it was strange decisions by my opponent and pure luck During lockdown I played multiple games on TTS with 15 order lists (HB & Nomad Vanilla) to speed up gameplay. In HB I did not need that many regular Orders because Farzans and Fidays plus Ragik and, with luck, the Daylamis all start in Midfield to do stuff without needing many orders. And both Mutts have 2 orders each to get into jammer reach in turn 1
Been a while since I last added to my Haqqislam collection as I rarely ever play, but I've been getting a recent itch now that N4 is forming shape and new Haqq units are on the horizon! I hope this is a good place to ask these questions please... Are there any units thus far known to be seeing a positive outlook for N4 ? I'm still missing some models and wondered whether at this time it's worth picking them up for my HB and RTF Collections (like the boxed Govads and Zhayedans, Hortlak, Mukthar, Carmen, extra Asawira or even Wild Bill - is there even a UK obtainable figure of him?). Did I read right that Govads could see reason for more play? I'm looking forward to seeing the new models, maybe the Shujae will be what the Ayyar wasn't (more the stealth specialist?), hopefully the pose for the Shakush won't be a bust as that'll be a great alternative to the other heavies I don't own for RTF.
Govads might see more use because MSV1 can shoot through smoke at a -6 penalty. With the little information we have, Barids also might see some more use as ARO hacking looks better. MI will be able to move faster at 4-4, so that will help a few of our units But right now, we are in the waiting game. We simply don't know what will happen in N4 a.nd how things will change
One thing I just realized, the CC profiles with AP CCW compared to DA are far more desireable now. Two hits with AP are mostly better, than three with N. And its the only CCW which is still a threat to TAGs. Shock CCW are the big loosers imho, but they were quite undesireable in the first place.
I guess we don't know the changes to Shock Ammo yet, so let's wait, b/c for N3 rules, shock would be useless to units with more than 1 W, but the new TAG has Shock Immunity or Immunity: Shock, so let's wait and don't call it "useless" for the current moment.
I find myself asking me a lot "what people want to say with "strong ARO" because Muyibs provide us a really big ARO when linked. BS 12 + fireteams bonus + Visor X... + dogged with a heavy rocket launcher... How it this not a strong aro... But yes, less ghazis and daylamis and the nerf to the Jammers, could be a problem, but, in the other hand a jammer will be "more powerfull" because the enemy will be "mostly" something expensive. So... We will see. Maybe it will be the time to bring back groups with 7+8 orders plus "impetuous" or something. I'am aware some people now play with this style, but it wasn't the "better". Now mabe it will be...
It's a lot of points to put into an ARO that's only good out to 32", with no mimetism or MSV, and 2 ARM 1.5 wounds. Not saying it's terrible, but by the standards of many sectorials it's not on the strong end of the ARO spectrum. (Which is fine, Haqq faction identity is to not have good long-range AROs. We make up for it with other strengths.)
Including Immunity: Shock on every TAG and REM is a result of hiding fewer rules in the rulebook and printing as much information on the profile as is reasonable. In N3 you had to remember that models with S instead of W had shock immunity, now you can tell at a glance.
The new video is all about us! It looks like there will be significant additions! Two new minitism -6 units added that will have forward deployment. Mutts are reworked to not be such a toolbox on one unit profile. A new Strategic Deployment Lt. Mixed fireeams. This looks like all this can have a huge impact on how the Sectorial will play.
Assassins have an MSV 2 unit now. And a good TO camo unit. That + the new TAG should help the sectorial out in the new tactical window meta.
