This thing comes up too often. So what is troopers burst with CC attack in ARO if it has (CC attack) +1 Burst ? 2 dice? 1 Dice? (Nourikas for example).
1 Dice, burst is reduced to one in ARO unless the trooper had a skill that specifies otherwise (like Martial Arts.) https://infinitythewiki.com/index.php?title=Combat_Module_Intro#Burst_.28B.29 Burst During the Reactive Turn (ARO) In ARO, the B value is always reduced to 1; however some rules or Special Skills can modify this value
Also, from https://infinitythewiki.com/index.php?title=Skills_and_Equipment_in_Infinity#MODIFIERS_.28MODS.29 IMPORTANT Those MODs modifying the Burst (B) value are only applied in the Active Turn.
Does that also apply to Martial Arts? Obviously it doesn't to Close Combat With Multiple Troopers since that MOD is written specifically for Reactive Turn, but Martial Arts does not seem to have anything implying it is not cancelled by reactive turn.
For me , thats looks like a can use 2 dices in ARO with CC atack that labled CC Attack +1B (like Nourikas) That doesnt however applies to Pistols that have +1 Burst, as @HellLois mentioned.
Wrong. I refer you to HellLois' post: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/oddity-with-nourkias.37089/page-2#post-341144 tl;dr - Martial Arts L5 grants +1B and works in Reactive, because MA5 is a CC Special Skill. CC Attack (+1B) is a Burst MOD to a Common Skill, and, as all Burst MODs granted by skills, works only in Active. Now my main question is - how do we decipher Pistol (+1B). Pistol is not a Skill, it's a weapon. Do we treat this as BS Attack (+1B) applying only to Pistol or is it some other kind of descriptor?
Why? That box is from the Martial Arts page and only applies to CC Special Skills. As IJW posted, burst mods normally only apply during the Active Turn.
Thanks to all! Cause that was so freaking obvious.................. Hope that that will he the only issue with C1 and N4.
Out of curiosity, and to help with wiki stuff, where would you expect to find information for how MODs in the unit profile work?
