MSV1 changes also make Govad a nice little Ghazi hunter/other jammer WB hunter, since it can shoot through smoke dodge now and also ignores Isolated.
Mostly extrapolating from current rules interactions and the news that MSV1 will have LOS through smoke.
According to Bostria (so take with loads of salt), HB is getting a big rework for N4. Makes sense, because with the 15 models cap the playstyle with lots of irregulars, just isnt that viable anymore. I am excited, but also a bit concerned, that Hassassins get more samey to other factions. Fingers crossed it turns out good and still with loads of Hassassin flavour.
Yeah. I’m salty about this change , but hopefully they can rework them into something good . feeling a bit negative about N4 so far, brothers .
I just watched the Studio video of CB and stumbled upon the new Hassassin Character Yara Haddad (Intel SpecOps Mutafawiq Officer). Who is she? Will she replace Leila Sharief? What unit are the Mutafawiq? Is it a new HB unit? Edit: in the twitch video around 4:11:25 Bostria introduces her as "Shujae-style Character" - whatever that means...
Yes, that is right. I am sorry for my bad english but I wanted to express something different: what does "Shujae-style Character" mean in regard of troop-type (she looks like LI, but the Shujae looks more like a MI to me), combat abilities (AP Marksman Rifle on her - but mostly short range weapons in the Shujae-Dossier) and so on. For me, the Shujae and Yara do not fit - that's why I am confused by this "Yara is a Shujae-style Character".
Leila has a marksman rifle too and she is ja ghulam character i think. It remains to be seen whether the new unit is a solo piece or belongs to a link team. As noted above, it looks like a to or camo unit. With the new skills, other combinations are of course also possible. As already said, hidden deployment without to or something similar. It also looks like many armies will have opportunities to inflict damage on heavy targets. The Hassassins get an ap weapon here, the new nomad unit also has an ap Spitfire, etc.
Well, if memory serves me, Leila is (fluff-wise) a Daylami girl. Or at least she claims to be, with those Husam SpecOps you can never be sure... As for Yara Haddad, we have to see someting more than a concept design before we could pass a judgement on her. From the concept design, she seems to wear somewhat different style of kit than the Shujae. Side note: I put the term "shujae" through an internet translation, and it came out as a whole list of adjectives in English, starting with "brave" (and then "courageous, valorous, valiant, dauntless" etc). If it translates in any way to Infinity, I'd expect a pretty much offensive, in-your-face style unit. Limited Impersonation (per analogy to N3 Limited Camouflage) and Dogged, with the close-in weapon choice pictured in the dossier? That's just a very wild guess on my part. We'll have to wait and see.
I really like, that she brings a AP-Marsman to Haqq. Always been longing for that or a Molotok in Haqq. While the weaponry is close to Leilas, I am convinced she will have a quite different skill set and Leila will stay in HB due to her ties in the fluff. Another thing I am curious about is, will the AVA 4 of Ghulam finally increase now, due to the thing with max 15 Orders? Because there wont be many Daylami, ghazi and cheap Remote in lists. Of course, the design intent could also shift to HB beeing much more elite.
Another thought: "Mutafawiq" means excellent/outstanding in english. So, is Yara just an excellent officer or is Mutafawiq the name of a new unit for HB/Haqq?? What do you think?
Interesting point, I hadn't even considered that. You're right, mostly the characters are called "units name" officer. So there might be a new unit
Shujae means brave or courageous in Arabic, incidentally. I reckon that they might have Impersonation L1, you know like the Grief or whatever. The lines on the bodysuit are similar to the Fiday's bodysuit, and the equipment is that of a skirmisher of some sort. So yeah, Impersonation L1 skirmisher.
I find this viewpoint... fascinating. Corvus Belli now has ITS with a default of 15 models (super special exceptions not included!) and the idea is to go from dirt cheap irregular orders to... the next cheapest thing that can be found.
Whats so odd about that? 2 Ghazi aand 3 or 4 Daylami plus a few 8 point REM have to go and can replaced with various Ghulam. Bäm 15 models instead of 18.
