Unfortunately not, I'm pretty busy xD But you can expect the next video today around 6:00PM CET, and tomorrow & thursday the same logic 12:00PM & 6:00PM CET.
Unfortunately, thanks to a FB discussion, that is now pronounced the same way as "Gif" and resultantly engineers shoot "Gizm" over their robots...
I kind of wish that MSV2 shot through smoke at -3 and MSV3 was the only visor to ignore it completely. That'd have been a nice progression, and it would tone down MSV2 a bit AND make MSV3 really worthwhile.
That would do literally nothing to make MSV3 any more worthwhile, all it would do is nerf MSV2 units. This is nerfing the game across the board to address the internal balance of one faction.
Do you see nerfing MSV2 as a bad thing? I certainly don't. I think offensive use of smoke + MSV2 could stand to be dialed down. And which one faction are you talking about? There are three with MSV3 currently. I'm also of the opinion that neither of them have serious internal balance issues, especially not currently as we go into N4.
MSV isnt where you go to tone that down, they tend to be fairly expensive units that you normally see only one of. its the 5+ chain rifle and smoke grenade wielding spam pieces you need to beat with the nerf bat.
Yes it would be a bad thing. Offensive use of smoke is not a thing that is a function of MSV2 or 3. It's a function of how easy it is to get warbands to stick down smoke up field from a secondary order group (or from plain simple impetuous+irregular orders) and nerfing MSV2 would also nerf several armies ability to deal with those warbands - not to mention that it would decrease those armies ability to deal with smoke screens and last turn hail-marys. MSV2 is also priced higher than the abilities that it counters* on its own without smoke, even if it only works against those units and not against units who lack this ability, it's priced specifically because it can shoot through smoke and certain terrain elements that allegedly very few metas play with. Last but not least, a question for you; if there are no internal balance issues with MSV3 units, then why do you feel there is a need to nerf MSV2 in order to buff MSV3? * in N3 Mimetism actually varies in price so it's not true for each and every unit, but for most of them it is.
I been hoping for the MSV1 change for a while. And if the code One profile is any indication, MSV 3 has become significantly cheaper. With these changes, it feels like MSV levels will be more balanced than before.
Smoke is a great example of an asymetric rule. Works for most things except msv, while msv is opposite. It's funny that the pricing of that equipment is also asymetric...smoke being cheap while msv2 expensive.
I am hoping for more terrain rules and mission design to promote the use of low-vis zones (or their N4 equivalent).
BTS can now be any number! The only reason it used multiples of 3 is that back in N1/2 BTS also provided a penalty to any hacking attacks (and was expressed as a negative number), they could have started using any number in N3 when it became effectively "ARM for things that weren't bullets" but they seemed to keep it first out of me compatability, and then out of inertia and tradition.
The Discover:+3 is a very exciting skill as well. I could see it being applied to a few other units like the Bao or Black Friar. EDIT: The SideBot is also very special
