True, that price doesn't carry over. I can order the Infinity model for less than $23 from my store and I won't pay for shipping (although I dont know why we would consider shipping for the CB model but not the GW one). Valkyrie was $18.99.
Why would we consider shipping for the CB model but not the GW one? Because you picked a $60 model kit for your basis and I'm assuming you meant at retail or ordering it right off their website, since the price mentioned for Valkyrie was the MSRP one rather than a discounted one. That means that this comes into effect: GW also ship free to their stores for pickup. It's worth mentioning though that weborders, pre-COVID, had a mark of $60 to meet for free shipping. They lowered it to allow for people to order the Made to Order models that launched with the previews at no additional cost.
OK, so we are talking about ordering straight from GW for a character vs from CB (to make it apples to apples). Any character at $30 will still incur shipping. So, it would still be more expensive than the $23 LE character from CB. Looking at GW's website, the only $25 characters are older finecast, not anything recent. I dont see how there is any comparison between cost of a GW character model or a CB one where GW comes out cheaper. They are both over priced, IMO, but that is the nature of the hobby.
The CJC starter was the first Infinity set I got, so I have a bit of a soft spot for the tiny child soldiers.

Woot! MSV1 can shoot through smoke with a penalty! MSV1 snipers can now deal with warbands. And a command token can be used to start a unit in Suppressive Fire!
New Jotum looks pretty nice. I'm so pumped about the MSV changes. Smoke isnt quite so easy to use anymore. So many things can see through it. Curious how ranged repairs will be. Will the work off the units WIP? If it still used Phys then fixing TAGs becomes super easy and remotes a nightmare. Suppression for command tokens during deployment. Hell yeah. Makes setting up a defense going second much easier. And Alpha striking less easy to do. Casanova looks interesting too. I rather like his suave anime pretty boy look (as he should be) will be really nasy to fight in CC
I dont think that is a new jotum... It seems a limited edition for the BIG tournament box, like past years
That would be an incredibly stupid move. The past ones have just been reposes, not entirely new profiles.
