Can you like something if you never say anything good about it? That's a philosophical question indeed.
Infinity's prices are bad and have been bad for years. People love to defend them or do weird comparisons(like whoever the person was that just did the whole Indomitus vs Kaldstrom one...that was just nonsense) that always make Infinity look good. For a 20Euro metal character model, that's an event exclusive with no options? That's just fricking awful. Even worse is that it'll be available as an arm/slight pose tweak down the road for around half the price(Liang Kai's general release is 13.95E). Ah the good ol' "fanboi litmus test". Kiddo, I'm a fan of the setting(other than the atrocious USARF fluff and the jamming in of bikes everywhere). I'm a fan of a good chunk of the models. I'm not a fan of the constant silliness that get made to producing/packing things. It's taken three editions of Infinity for them to finally release something that I would genuinely consider a starter for a faction that isn't also intended as a "limited time" product. The Action Packs are what Infinity always should have led with. They provide an actual, reasonable force for people to start the game with. Also obligatory "It's 2020, where the hell are our extra arms/heads in troop boxes?" post.
Well, you can say you do, but it would be entirely normal for folks to doubt that, based on the information available...
Sorry Kanluwen, I've just never seen you say anything positive about the company or the game. I guess saying anything positive makes one a blind fan boi?
I've said plenty of positive things over the years. I just won't spout random positive shit for no reason*. Additionally, what made me suggest the "blind fanboi" bit? The pretending that criticism automatically equates to not being a 'true' fan. *Except in the painting threads I'm following. Everyone needs to feel like their work is good.
Strange: All August-News and the September news are listed in the CB Shop with release date 10. August. https://store.corvusbelli.com/coming-soon I strongly doubt that, but maybe they put out the August-Stuff early, because of the pending N4? When I refresh the site, it shows 09.Aug.for a second ... both dates makes no sense in September, because usualy the release date is a saturday.
EVENT EXCLUSIVE MODEL That is what you are paying for... If you dont want it, wait for the regular version
Yeah no. That's not actually what you're paying for with these. You're paying for the card junk for a questionable game.
Since you mentioned 40k vs Infinity pricing, 20€ (USD 23) for a LE character model is a steal compared to GW, where normal character models are USD 35. Or the USD 60 box of three serybis raiders, which would get me a couple of SWC boxes... Indomitus is an insane amount of models for the price, but is the exception, not the rule. (I say this as an active purchaser of product from both GW and CB).
Don't switch conveniently to USD where US prices have a 30-40% (or more at times) markup for the new storage facilities in US. Going off Space Marine HQs, "Rest of EU" pricings, in EUR, HQ models are anywhere between €14.50 to €30 in two or three extreme Primaris situations. Most of them are below €20. The median of prices for non-Marine Imperial or xenos HQs will be even lower.
