I would love some 15 order, 400 point lists for a general purpose Ramah, Hassassin or Vanilla army.

We play all of the missions from the current ITS list on the Comlog app, and with 400 points to spend there will be plenty of room for specialists. I own Maggie and most models ranging from s1-5.

I do prefer sectorials for the fireteam bonuses, though I am sure there are some excellent vanilla lists that could sway me.

I've just made the move from Ariadna recently so I need help from the experts.

One very neat combo in Haqqislam is to run Tariq or an Asawira, or any other heavy infantry that's got a Cube, in conjunction with the Janissary Akbhar doctor. To bring them back up to two wounds from unconscious, the Akbar doctor needs to roll 14 or less - but they've got cubes, so if you fail, you can just spend a command counter and reroll it.

Fidays are especially great in Tactical Window missions as well, because the fewer models the enemy has, the weaker their deployment zone defense, and the harder they will be affected if you kill some order monkeys. Hussein Al-Djabel might be worst considering instead of, or in conjunction with, a regular Fiday, as he's better against tough targets.

In 400 pts lists, I expect TAGs and other hard stuff, so I tend to bring an airdropped or cammoed Assault hacker. I think the Ragik is Haqqislams best choice for this, with his insane WIP 15, especially paired up with a Barid lieutenant hacker than can use his lieutenant order for Controlled Jump. You also want repeaters, so again, a Barid, or a Hunzakut (or both). Muttawiah's are, of course, great as always if you can squeeze them in, but otherwise a Namurr with Spitfire, E/Marat and E/M close combat weapon can bring tons of pain to enemy hackable targets, and so can a humble Bashi Bazouk with E/Maulers - just come in from the side and put down some E/M deployables.

You want some MSV2 too, to capitalize on all your smoke, and the Mukhtar is best for this, but in this particular list we'd have enough forward assault elements already, so I would consider a Djanbazan HMG, to get some more long-range firepower. A Tuareg sniper can do great work in this aspect as well, doing surprise shots from very unexpected angles thanks to her hidden deployment.

To round out this particular list, because I couldn't afford the Chain of Command Farzan, let's take a Hafza with rocket launcher, to perhaps masquerade as a second Barid, and a Naffatun and a few Muttawiah's to make our deployment zone relatively secure. A completely different build would be to take Tariq as lieutenant, and run him with the CoC Farzan. If you need forward specialists, swap the Hunzakut to a Forward Observer one - but I've found that a cammoed grenade launcher mid-field can be really useful to deal with entrenced or hidden enemy pieces.

Approaching from a Ramah perspective, my first thought for 400 points was double Maggie, but I'm going to assume you only own one. Instead, let's look at Maggie and Tarik. Normally, I build for missions rather than try to build general lists. But, in this case, I tried to put together an army that could handle any mission reasonably well.

I think the duo with a Rafiq is a very strong option to support Maggie. Not only does it provide a specialist to help in certain missions, but it also covers Maggie with a repeater, so any hacking trying ti go after your TAG will need to worry about Leila. It also protects Maggie from getting locked in combat, since triangulated fire with a rifle or red fury should make quick work of any warbands that get too close. The other members of the first group are how I like to build the core team in Ramah. And I do consider all of them to be part of the core, even if they can't all be in it at the same time. The sniper is a surprisingly good ARO piece in a full team, and I'd look to link it for the opponent's first turn. After that, it'll probably be dead. The Naffatun are similarly sacrificial, either as short-range defensive threats or to trade in the active turn. The Khawarij is the primary gunfighter for the team. I prefer the Mk12 for shooting through smoke, but the spitfire has Fatality L2, so it's also a very strong option.

The second group just consists of a couple active pieces and an order battery. The Mukhtar and Nahab should probably vary depending on the mission. In those case, there's one very powerful gunfighter and one durable specialist with solid deployment tricks. They can run into order issues, but you can also move them into group 1 as you lose models. You could also downgrade to a cheaper Maggie to swap one of the Fanous for a model that will actually do something, but that would just make your order situation worse. A Shihab is a decent choice for that reason.

That is a fantastic list. I think you have converted me to vanilla! Thank you for your explanations too, that helped me picture the strategy really well.

Thank you for the advice on the Maggie/Rafiq combo. I'm new to hacking and hadn't thought that I could protect with a remote instead of putting her with Leila.

I seem to be relying on the Mukhtar Harris with Doc, MSV2 and the Harris profile. How do you fare without it, as in this list?

That's a very common haris for me to take, but I also often just take a duo of the red fury and doctor. I feel that, offensively, there isnt a big difference whether or not the red fury is in a team. Instead, I see the haris as a way to preserve the team, with the haris profile using that burst 2 viral rifle to try to keep the other two alive. The duo is certainly an option instead of the Nahab.

I think a Mukhtar haris list is completely viable in this format. I would put them in the first group instead of Maggie, which would allow for a much more powerful group 2.
