Action Packs are 10 model, 30 point starters, the first two will be for O-12 and CA, consisting of the models from Wildfire + Beyond without the terrain, dice, booklets, etc. When the next Operation box comes out next year the plan is to repackage Kaldstrøm and Beyond into two Action Packs for PanO and Yu Jing. Booster packs are boxes of three models for a specific faction in C1, these might be new, or they might be repacks depending on faction (hopefully not a mix of new and repack in the same box though).
I'd be all for a resculpted jotum. If they could lose the dwayne dibbley anorak, that'd be cool, too.
The Jotum 'as is' is a fantastic miniature - I worry about what a resculpt would look like in "Today's CB" world of...lots of extras on the models and bases. And with "Code One" taking temporary precedence over N3 (and maybe even N4), would they really re-do a just about already perfect looking T.A.G.?
i agree with the initial @chromedog post if they redesign the jotum they might as well redesign the whole tag series. that way there will be consistency and make them easier to build/ transport
Well, with the Dragao going bye-bye (OOP) they're free to redesign Dwayne "the TAG" Dibbley. I already have the Dragao, and the only way they can really improve that one is to redo the ammo feed so that I didn't need to get a 3rd party flexible ammo feed. If it looks better, I might actually get the newer one. I like big killy mecha suits, but less of the "overcompensation guns" would also help. :D
Making the entire PanO TAG line in S7 at least have a common core seems sensible to me. Either bring the Jotum and Cutter in-line with the current Squalo for simplicity (afaik the other two do share some parts of the Squalo on them) or as said, redesign em all. We'll probably have a hint as to what is planned whenever we see the new Cutter.
ill have to look at my N1 rulebook but i thought the cutter belonged to its own vehicle line apart from the squallo series as an alternative replacement to stingray series
Angel posted this on Instagram, dunno if its just wishful thinking but I can't quite match some parts to the existing model. Can someone more familiar with the Jotum than me say if this is the existing one or not? https://www.instagram.com/p/CCOL6Jz...vY4NfzwFirnwQEMi6v22klcQl47Pp1_SrFmFCkIVdVuLA
The back tubes, one of the shields, and shin plates are identical to the current one, either it's a fairly minor resculpt or a fairly substantial conversion with reposing and a flamethrower added to one of the plates.
He's also working on a weathering book, and that model is much more heavily weathered than the usual studio style. Which would explain a lot (like his O-Yoroi conversion for his first painting book).
For a TAG heavy faction most of panos tags are pretty meh. The Jotum is ok looking but posed terribly. The squalo is also ok but posed so statically. The cutter is dated and has tiny legs. And the seraph is pretty clumsy looking. The whole pano tag range needs an update imho. I’m not keen on picking up any until they do.
pretty much agree, except for Seraph. I think he's really cool looking, the only PanO TAG that I've decided to get. Wonder if they'll resculpt something (was there a talk about a Cutter?) or release a new one.
They are going to resculpt the Cutter for Code One. Because obvsiously the best TAG to resculpt after releasing Winterfor is the one from Varuna.
