I'd avoided painting Kusanagi for like four years, but the new model finally motivated me into action. That sounds weird, but I'd always felt that Kusanagi had to be my best painted model, and now that a better version is in the pipe I can make that my capstone model.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

She looks great! My only real criticism would be the eyes. They are definitely one of the hardest parts of the model, I do something called a raccoon technique where I paint the eyes first and fill in the skin tone after. I have a step by step on my Facebook page so feel free to use it if you so desire :) definitely makes them a lot easier to paint!

Recently acquired some Druze Bayram models and painted them up. I learned a lot on these models and I think I've improved.

They turned out really good and you can see your development here! I like your aproach to the regular colour-scheme.

Quick follow-up, painted this Yuan Yuan as a little Druzeling Bashi. Tried to keep things subdued.

I really like the military green you used for the Druze. What's your recipe?

I use Reaper paints and the base of most everything is muddy olive 09034 & nightshade purple 09022. The dark parts start with the two mixed together and the light parts start as muddy olive and then get built up with yellow or buff. The dark parts end with muddy olive as the final highlight so it doesn't step on the toes of the brighter stuff.

Reaper has a triad for olive drab but the jump in colors is kind of jarring and I'm trying a lot harder to smooth out my transitions.

@helsbecter Very very nice Hels. I love the paint job and the way you made the miniatures look through the art style. Really glad I got to see this NCA force you created.
