They honestly don't need to drag it out for as long as they do. If you did one teaser per day, maybe 3 days maximum, that lead directly into the release of a new set that would be good. They need to strike while the iron is hot instead of dragging a teaser for a release out for weeks. If they did Enough one day, Uprising the next, The teaser of the new models a third day, then did the BOW week to inevitably release new models and new rules, and this was all timed to be right before the actual release so people could buy the models they've been teased and play that army. That would be my ideal scenario. All that being said, I'm not a company and I don't know what's best for them. That's just what I'd like to happen when big teases like this occur personally as a player and buyer of Infinity stuff.
Is this a reference to one of the many times GW just struck off whole units and if I recall a whole faction completely removing them from the game? Because even worst case CB isnt deleting JSA. So unless I have misunderstood something (which I am admitting is possible) I don't think it is the exact same thing.
That's exactly what I hate about GW. - Something big is coming! - What? - We won't tell you! - Is it a new game, some army deal, new unit, a book, a fluffy campaign, or what? - Can't spoil the surprise ;) - At least tell me how big/expensive it's gonna be so I can plan my hobby budget around it! - You're gonna have to come on release day to learn! - ...whatever, I'll buy some Infinity instead.
I don't like either methods. They don't have to release right after announcement but they can announce a few weeks before pre-orders start instead of dragging stuff out like they are now.
No, it's not. It's not even close. Even in the event of a full break (which may not even be what happens), your JSA units and your YJ units would still be fully playable, but you may need to buy/sell a few minis to balance out your forces (that assumes that you're unwilling to play more than one faction/sectorial at a time). That stands in stark contrast to GW's decision to scrap and stop supporting an entire game, and not import some of its armies into the successor franchise. The butthurt with the advent of AoS was real, and it was wholly justified (and that's the perspective of a disinterested party).
Well this sure is heated.. and uninterresting to watch people talk back and forth, hurting eachothers feelings with words... everything on RUMOR. Noone except the star gods knows whats going on, so please, cant we quit it and keep on the good stuff? like, we actually might get awesomely fantstic new sculpts to the amazing soldiers who give up their lives, the honorable Keisotsu! they are the real heroes :D (yes, im wishthinking)
I'm hoping there is more accelerant for the fire, right now its just us Yu Jing players upset our faction might be gutted, everyone else pretty fine with it. A proper explosion really demands tears from all sides.
Pretty sure that most Tohaa players would welcome a bifurcation of their faction. "What, a new Tohaa sectorial? Yippee!"
In regards to teasing. Its only been like a week of teasing so far right? If we ignore the unofficial preview of the army box (your not counting that right? That wasn't CB) the teasing doesn't feel excessive or particularly dragged out. But internet's where we go to whine right?
Weirdly I was first drawn to Yu Jing mainly because of the JSA oniwabans and domarus but have mainly stuck with yu jing Chinese mini when collecting to try and learn the game, my mates got me some muashi's and oniwaban for Xmas and now I'm excited that I might be able to build these into an opposing force
started 2 weeks ago. More then likely they were\are supposed to go for 4 weeks total then to pre-order and available at Adepticon. And the last time CB did teasers it was for ALIVE! that went for like 3 months and made a lot of us tired of them.
I'd be fine with JSA splitting off of YJ if YJ gets to keep some Ninjas. I'd be fine with MO splitting off of Pano if Pano gets to keep Black Friars. I'd be fine with Mero splitting off of Ariadna if they get some more toys. Ariadna doesn't even need to keep Chasseurs (Yeah I said it. Fight me.) I'd be fine with Morats or Shas splitting off of CA. I'd be fine with Tohaa splitting into a thousand pieces as they are sucked into a black hole. One of the things I like about Infinity is that it's always evolving. Sometimes you have to prune some things back to make it more streamlined, and I'd much rather have a game that explains these changes with actual backstory and reasoning rather than a giant bloated mass that's being crushed under its own weight. Of course, other people are going to get angry about it, you can't please everyone.
