The CA support box is a portrait rebranding of the existing one to fit with the C1 line. Those remotes are fantastic, they keep a lot of the character of the original whilst also replacing some of the oldest sculpts in the entire range. I very much appreciate being able to differentiate the Combi from an HMG without a magnifying glass! Not having to attach tiny, spindly, antennae to the back of the PanO ones is a huge improvement too.
The new remotes are very nice, I'm glad that Morans are getting resulted finally but Nomad Remotes (TR bot/flash pulse bots) desperately need to be resculpted.
Now that we're getting a closer look at those Lambdas, anyone else getting a Vault-Tec vibe from the medic?
I love those new remote sculpts. Which makes it all the more disappointing that Dr Worm hasn't been given the resculpt treatment :( I mean, he's a lovely model and one of my favourite old sculpts. But surely he'd be one of the oldest minis in the range today? I would have loved to see how well his biomechanical self and slaves could have been done in the modern 3d sculpting style.
Really good looking remotes. However as a JSA-player I'm still considering whether to buy them or not. On the one hand the new yaokong look very, very good. On the other hand it might be more fitting to still use the old ones, representing the fact that it will most likely be harder to get new Yu Jing remotes after the Uprising. Oh 1st world problems, what would I do without you...
I've been using my PanO ones to represent the military aid they provided during Uprising. Looks like my JSA will be getting more aid in the future!
Pan-O S3 REMs makes a lot of sense for JSA. Hopefully the future remake of Yaoxie will feature alternative Pan-O versions of the guns just to cater to that special JSA look :D
I'm definitely getting him. But I think i'm going to use him for my Dahshat HVT. I love the paint job they have done on him! I doubt I'll come even close to that :( . He's even more appropriate for my White Tigers.
Yeah very wierd. It looks like the painter wanted to point out the little faces. The HMG of the Yaokong look wierd too. The magazin upside is one thing, that it is also pointing in the wrong direction. I think a magazin on a remote is not very realistic because, who will change it? Here it looks like its empty after one burst. The Pan O pedant looks like it has a spare one to change. But the most important question here is: Will we be able to build a Yaofang with this box set? As the story of Infinity will go forward the JSA will be able to lay their hands on YJ remotes sooner or later.
I agree. A magazine on a remote or a TAG makes no sense. That is a good question. But my guess is that they will be different and then they can sell more figs. I think it's sufficiently different enough to merit their own.
I'm sure we can proxy for a long time and I'll note that some of the weapons look like they will be easy to magnetize. Though again they look like hell to attach to the base and keep them on.
The upside is it'd save a sku and you can just buy multiples of this pack. The downside is, every time you buy this pack you'd be spending extra for parts you don't need. I'm getting the ALEPH rebots, and picked up the CA Drone pack, which can be built in like 5 different ways. Mind you, it gave me an extra head to use to replace some tactical rocks with, so I approve. But at this point I don't think I'll be buying the same drones for every faction I might like, I'll just use the ones I have and spread them around. As I say this, I remember I'll also be buying the O12 ones, but that's it! Maybe...
Um... the bullets and their propellants have to be stored somewhere and if the magazine is on the outside it makes it a lot easier for service staff to replace instead of having to dismantle the entire chassi or without having to sacrifice internal space and access for something that doesn't really need to be protected. Especially if it's an easy task, then you can do basic service without being fully qualified. You just need to make sure the REM's magazine is large enough for the task. What doesn't make sense about that?
the magazine makes sense if its' possible for a trooper to pull it off if needed. But on the REM it should at least have a Drum magazine. The size it has would be gone in a single burst.
Maybe I need new glasses, but it sure looks to me that the REM HMG models have larger auxiliary magazines. This is especially clear on the panO model. I think they are going for that look.
