Did i miss something or can remote units now go prone?
All i have seen is "► If a Trooper enters the Unconscious state, it automatically falls Prone unless it is a TAG, a Troop Type that is unable to go Prone."
And at end of the rules there is a restricted chart that only states TAGs are unable to go prone.

In Code One REMs can go prone.

Please keep in mind this is a basic rule set. The full blown N4 may return to these sorts of things.

    Very interesting.
And rather a big change. That is a huge disadvantage of remotes now gone. I do have the feeling that N4 is going to play quite differently compared to N3, with that and the probable change in movement for HI and MI.

We had a relationship between being able to Prone and Dodge negatives... REM prone is a buff for certain units, but them being able to Dodge as a regular mini would be a gamechanger IMO.

There are no troop type Dodge penalties listed in CodeOne, so Remotes are Dodging just like any other unit.

My secret hope is that weird things like Karakuri and Su Jian will be reclassed as REMs instead of HI, but I'm not holding my breath

I am... happy for the simplification, but worried now to see TAG rules in C1.

Yeah I guess I missed that. Problem would be if that is the case of TAGs with PH15-16, since the balance was always the -6 to dodge.

REMs dodging on normal now, which I missed, it is actually an interesting buff.

TAG rules are in CodeOne. They can't go Prone.

Yes, I did see that. Do they dodge without penalty?

What we don't know is if they'll have something on their statline that provides a negative mod to their dodges.

The current state of TAG rules in C1 is not good. This is the only place that mentions that TAGs can't go prone:

► If a Trooper enters the Unconscious state, it automatically falls Prone unless it is a TAG, a Troop Type that is unable to go Prone.

That really needs to be front and center, rather than being a note under unconsciousness.

Are there any penalties in CodeOne at all that applies to the owning trooper? As in, not the circumstantial MODs from something like "Opponent in ZoC", but where the -3 comes from the trooper itself.

Well, I want to say that they could just have Dodge (-3) on their statline, but then we run into this:

•A positive MOD (+) in round brackets next to a Special Skill, Weapon, or Equipment will be applied only to the user of that Special Skill, Weapon, or Equipment.
•A negative MOD (-) in round brackets next to a Special Skill, Weapon, or Equipment will be applied only to enemies.

    So that wouldn't work.
