The lonely Shang Ji

Hacking Visors are a thing, and I think the profile with "Skill: Specialist Operative" is going to transform into Forward Observer come N4. I note that the lone Combi profile is gone. Hopefully the HMG profile won't diverge too much and will also have an AP HMG. Likely box contents based on profiles in C1. :

The problem is, the Hacker profile is going to be in the Beyond:Kaldstrom box, so I really don't see what other profile we can have in a Shang Ji box, other than the HMG, HRL, and MR (two models for this one, eventually).

 

I wouldn't rule out the Tinbot on the basis of Tai Sheng, who's clearly got a Zuyong tinbot. CA has multiple tinbot models for example. Three Shangers and a Jujak (ideally spitfire) would explain the weird (and terrible) link restrictions, but there are enough outstanding profiles for there to be a Jujak box.

 

The Hacker is in the Beyond Kaldstrom box, so there is a free slot here.
Now FO tend to have some added bits on the weapon / helmet, so it could be the case for Shang Ji too.

If there is no more weapon option for Jujak,the box of 4 would be:
- Combi Breaker + HFT
- ML
- Spitfire
- Boarding Shotgun.

But Combi Breaker and Combi coul be close enough to not add this option and make a 3 Jujak and 1 Tinbot box, the 4th Jujak being the one in Operation Kaldstrom.

 

A regenerating HRL would make for an absolute bitch of an ARO piece to remove. Just saying.

Now, as far as the box options go, with the natural conclusion coming to that of there being an extra slot, I think it's a good excuse to add a new and cool weapon we haven't seen on the Shang Ji before.

Sounds pretty plausible.

 

I think the "booster packs" will be mixed with 3-4 models each. One of them might even be a repack of some existing C1 models into a box aimed at new players. I think the Shangji HMG will show up in one of those boxes since it's become more iconic thanks to the action figure/statue.

 

You heard how that Kickstarter went, right?

 

Oh dear, just searched it up, that's a shame.

 

Kinda expected in the middle of a pandemic that's caused mass unemployment and is leading into a global depression.

 

Yeah, terrible timing unfortunately, through no fault of @Busymind ’s own.

 

Here’s hoping a Tinbot does not take up a trooper slot in a box, as they have for other boxes.
