Hey everyone. I'm really excited to show you what I've been working on with CB for the past little bit. I've had the pleasure of working on their new mobile app army builder for both iOS and Android. I'm going to drop the links for both platforms at the bottom of this post, so please feel free to download and play around with them. This will eventually come to include N4 once that’s released as well so you’ll have one army builder for both games. I'd love to get your collective feedback on the app, so please feel free to let me know here or wherever you can get ahold of me to give me your thoughts and suggestions. iOS is currently live in the App Store as of right now. This also includes an iPad friendly version out of the gate (unlike that stupid Comlog app). I'll be the first to say here that I like the Code One army builder. It's overall design is simple, clean and easy to understand. #Edit# I do have one minor gripe and that the app icon is virtually identical to the regular army builder. Perhaps a different icon or a name on the icon to differentiate it from the regular one.
The only thing I've been annoyed by is where the 'army roster' bit defaults to when you're loading it up. It's smack dab in the middle of the profile on screen when you are using it via web.
Looks nice, but I have no YJ units... All the other factions have the unit list appear but zero for YJ. iPad Pro 10.5 iOS 13.3.1.
The mobile app is great and fixes my two biggest issues. 1) Swiping between unit list and army list is fantastic. 2) Clicking a unit in your list always take you to the correct profile (this barely works on my phone with N3 Army). It's definitely much cleaner and smoother than the equivalent desktop app. Can I request a feature? It looks like filtering by skills/equipment/weapons are implemented as the equivalent of radio buttons right now -- is there a a way you could implement this as checkboxes instead? This would let us filter by a pair of skills, for example.
The app is fantastic, it's finally easier to build lists on mobile than on the browser. I was very happy once you revealed that you worked on the app in White Noise and I'm not disappointed. :-)
Great app! Nice design and easy to use. I have a little suggestion: show the number of units, or the number of orders, that have already been added to the list. I know it's not that hard to count by oneself, but sometimes it's a bit annoying to have to scroll up and count when you are toying with the last units in your list.
I am not able to remove a single unit without clearing the whole list. Am I missing something? Edit: btw, is there a link to a desktop version?
I don't think there's a stand alone application yet, but the web-page version is here: https://infinitytheuniverse.com/army/codeone It works for me at home using Chrome, gives a black screen for me at work using MS Edge, and it gives me a 404 Access Denied at work using Firefox. Your mileage may vary and someone needs to tell CB's site admin what 404 means ;)
I had that as well; I had to delete the site data (cookies, etc) for infinitytheuniverse.com and now it works fine.
This doesn't work very well on my phone though. It usually takes me 3-4 tries to get the unit to pull over instead of the little bubble you get on the side of the screen when you can't swipe any further through pages.
