    Going through the current missions, these are the ones I find that have the Shasvastii Rule written into them (i.e. Spawn-Embryo state scores):
    • Frontline
    • Quadrant Control
    • Safe Area
    • Supremacy
    • The Armory
    • Transmission Matrix
    None of these missions have the "Killing" rule, which would stop the Spawn-Embryo troopers from scoring at the end of the game (or, might... that one would need to be FAQ'd since the rules contradict each other). It doesn't seem that counting unconscious troopers as "killed" at the end of a game is the default.

    Those also happen to be every single "Dominate ZO" mission as far as I can tell. The only missions where it doesn't really work is the "control a console" ones (i.e. those usually have the killing rule, so a Spawn-Embryo touching a console wouldn't control it).

    @Sabin76 At the end of the game, Spawn-Embryo state troopers are considered to be Unconscious, which is a null state. So unless a scenario specifically says they count for some purpose, they don't.

    Two things, both of which I concede I could be wrong on, but...

    1. You are pulling that last statement off of the Spawn-Embryo state itself, yes? Where it talks about Victory Points. But the only place I found "Victory Points" was in a "Standard Game" (i.e. no mission).

    2. The Shasvastii Rule within the missions I outlined above is written in such a way as to indicate that it overrides the normal null-state rules for contributing to ZO. Spawn-Embryo is even specifically called out as counting in the "Dominate ZO" special mission rules. This is true even for missions where the scoring only happens at the end of the game (a la Safe Area). If the Shasvastii rule wasn't meant to count at the end of the game, why did they include it when that's the only time it would apply?

    Victory Points is your surviving army points at the end of a game.

    It's certainly written a bit awkwardly, like a lot of the rules.

    Spawn embryo helps you avoid going into retreat, it doesn’t help you retain Victory Points.

    In addition, Spawn embryo might help you in some missions to dominate Zones of Operation.

    As in, it helps your opponent kill all of your troops without putting you into retreat.

    So good.

    I think a harris of these would pair well a Gwailos. Use the Gwailos who has Albedo (personal white noise) to hunt the MSV ARO models. Once the MSV models are out of the way, the ODD can move around without too much of a threat.

    I agree, but I think the most important point is that the ITS rules are modifications of the core rules. Core rules say use a template to land a Combat Jump unit, ITS rules say don't. Core rules say Spawn-Embryo is considered unconscious at the end of the game (which is then clarified to mean "don't count for victory points"), ITS rules say Spawn-Embryo state can still score zones, even in the mission where scoring only happens at the end of the game.

    In any case, only one of the missions I posted has this ambiguity. All the others score every round as far as I can tell.

    Safe Area, though I certainly think it's less ambiguous than @Hecaton does (which you could probably tell form my arguments).

    Oh, I thought Hecaton was only saying that they can't control antennas, since they're in a null state. The Shasvastii mission rule only allows them to count towards dominating zones the way I read it.

    New image for Defiance. Taiga and it looks like Jayth in the background. I'm glad to see the Taiga next to the other figs to see the scale of them. I'm not sure if I like the Taiga or not.

    Correct, by the time the KS had launched it'd been replaced with the Red Fury version, presumably it's waiting for a general release slot at some point.
