I hope that MAF will also see some love in N4 and CB give them something completely new like a new Character. Also I wouldn't be surprised if CB kill Hasht with new spec ops character Dukash.
I hope not - that would mean a new Dire Foes box was invalidating an old one. That would also imply that Aelis Keesan was being removed as well.
This is good point, but don't forget that Tohaa are right now in very weird spot, because some of their models are already discontinued. A little silly question. Don't you think that CA starts to have too many characters? With these 3 new characters we will have access to 14 different characters (if I count Kendrat, Aida and Le Muet, which are also available outside of the CA).
Aelis is member of Spiral Corps so was spared from the model cuts. Replacing Hasht at the same time as resculpting Aelis in a blister would work though.
I don't know. They do have a lot of unique characters now, but they also don't normally have access to that many Mercs that are way more available in the HS factions. Perhaps it evens out that way?
I expect Dire Foes 1-5 will go oop with N4 and that all those characters will be removed from the rosters. Characters are easy to write out after a time skip.
I think the whole of Infinity has far too many characters, but I don't really expect to see CB do anything about this.
Looking at the CA C1 unit table I must ask myself why Tensho expert? Outside of the reason that Tensho is unreleased model and if we ignore his journalist profile that was add because of the ITS, I don't see any reason to take him in C1. I would rather take Nox or some specialised unit, because his current profile doesn't bring anything usefull to the game (right now he is basically Nox core fireteam filler). Of course maybe in C1 his profile will be more usefull and he will bring something desirable, but right now I would rather have access to another unit.
Why no tensho? A short range impact template specialist who is shock immunity and has veteran 1 in ft core by 16 pts
Yes in fireteam he is great, but Code One has no fireteam options and I am speaking about his usage in Code One where IMHO he isn't good option.
Yes, we don't know every thing, but right now I don't see reason to bring Tensho, because in mine opinion he doesn't bring anything new to the mix and CB could give us something more interesting instead of him. Maybe I will change mine mind when CB release his profile. And here is something new: On the table top made interview with Bostria (it is in Weekender) and Bostria said there are some hidden units that will be in C1 and they will show them later this year or next year. So there is still hope to see some Morats or other non Shas units in C1.
Kind of disappointed that it's basically just Shas + remotes as opposed to having a more combined feel. Not that it's unexpected because of the wildfire box, but I would have thought they could squeeze a morat or sygmaa into the open slots instead of more shas. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
@Amon-Rukh new sculpts are also more beginner-friendly, that's not an insignificant factor. Though I'd also like to see other sides of CA in C1. So far C1 in general looks like a sectorial vs sectorial game (maybe with the exception of O12). This means that next year we might see new Merovingia, new CJC, refreshed Phalanx, and refreshed QK as the other half of C1.
C1 is based around recent and upcoming releases, for the CA that's specifically Wildfire, beyond, and the empty holes in the Shasvaasti model range. I wouldn't read much into it with regards to Morats.
If you see the lists for C1 armies, you will see a bunch of new profiles for CA and O12. I think these are the hidden units you mentioned.
