Apologies if these have already been answered but I couldn't find them.

With the new Long Ya for WBA I wanted to clarify two interactions:

    1) Does Surprise Attack work with Electric Pulse?
I believe not considering the wording on the last bullet point of Electric Pulse.

    2) Can you use Assisted Fire on a REM in a Camo state?

Again I'm leaning towards not but don't have much either way.

    Many thanks in advance!

For Q1 I'd say this rule from Electric Pulse applies:
    -
This CC Weapon does not allow either the user or his adversaries to apply any MOD to the CC or PH Attributes when performing the Face to Face CC Roll from any rule, Special CC Skill, weapon, or piece of Equipment.

Suprise Attack has the CC Special Skill label

I don't know for Q2, but would like to know too

Q1: As @zapp wrote, no because neither party is able to apply any MODs.
Please be mindful that this applies to FTF only. If Berserk is used it will no longer be a FTF and MODs can be applied.
Q2: The camouflage state hides the trooper inside it, it doesn't stop being a trooper nor a REM. Remember that if the Camouflaged Remote has a Repeater (which Long Ya does not) and that Repeater is used the state will be cancelled.
This has been an issue before due to Lu Duan's Holo2 state, by the way.

There’s nothing in the rules from prohibiting you using it.

I've done some research about that, and actually, as @Zewrath says, there's nothing prohibiting that. In fact, you can give Assited Fire to the Long Ya without revealing it just because AF is a Gadget Hacking Program, which lacks the "Attack" label.

Well, for 1) there is an exception though and it is if the target of the surprise attack shoots back with a weapon using the BS or WIP attribute.

It's also going to depend on if you're using the REM's own repeater or not.

If you are, it'll drop the model out of camo per the Repeater rules. There's nothing you can do about this.

If you're using another repeater (or it's within 8" of the hacker), you enter a bit of a gap in the rules. Camo specifically prohibits attacks; you are correct in that regard. However, it still breaks some basic conventions of the game to be able to target a marker with an effect that relies upon hidden information. Arguably it's no different than camo models with unusual movement stats or terrain skills, however. Those are also not immediately verifiable by the opponent.

The Long Ya remote has no repeater, so no revealing that way.

And yes, I agree that it's quite arguable, and that's why being a bit "rawer" helps. Rules in hand, you can target the Long Ya for a Supportware and by doing this you don't reveal it.

I don't really see any ground for an argument here. Yes...we can!...put Asiiseted Fire on a camouflaged Yong La.

Camo only affects reprensentation on the board and infomation for the opponent...it doesn't change what the unit actually is.

If requirements for Supportware are met, Supportware can be used on camouflaged REMs. The same way Firewall (or Reboot for that matter) will apply to Daofeis and Hac Tao in Camo State as well.

    Good stuff!

If it helps, there is not currently any ambiguity as to the identity of an S3 camo marker in Yu Jing. It's definitely a Yaofang Long Ya, the only question is whether it has an SMG or a Boarding Shotgun. There won't ever be any doubt that it's a legal target for supportware.
