In the future (if there is one), a new Code One box will land, and it's got good odds of including Nomads. But what do we Bromads want in it? I'm assuming it's going to be Corrigedor based in the Operation Box and Beyond Box, since doubling as an N4 Sectorial seems to be a theme so far. So, given that the Code One releases consist of the op and beyond, support pack, remotes, booster alpha and beta, plus TAG and Hero, I'm assuming that the latter four may be code one playable units, not so much N4 sectorial units. My wishlist for it all: Operation Whatever: 3 Alguaciles, 1 Intruder sniper, 1 wildcat shotgun, 1 new thing, 1 Mobile Brigada multi rifle Beyond Operation Whatever: 1 moran boarding shotgun, 2 crazykoalas, Bran Do Castro or Kusanagi, 1 new thing Support and Remotes: obvious Booster Alpha: Intruder combi-rifle, Kriza Multi Rifle, Reverend Healer Booster Beta: Hellcat Spitfire, Spektr, Reverend Custodier Hacker TAG: Lizard Hero: Kusanagi or Bran Do Castro Other SWC boxes: Grenzer Sniper, Shotgun, Spitfire, Missile. Wildcats rocket, spitfire, 2 combi rifles
I hope (and I think it is what will happen, but not next year) that, if there is a box, it would be mixed or bakunin based. BJC needs a lot of love and to get updated. Also, taking rules into account, there are some rules in corregidor that I don't think will make to C1 (perimetrals, ejection systems), while the "strange ones" from bakunin can be ignored easily (HD+ can be treated as a HD, metachemistry can just be ignored, but perimetrals, while could be treated as mines, it changes a lot the work for morans) or are allready implemented in the new system (ODD, hyperdinamics). I would like to see new sculpts for zeros, new riot spitfire, new custodias (I know they have good sculpts, but I just want more!). A new lizzard (is the oldest TAG miniature at the moment, the same way zeros are the oldest LI miniature at the moment), and a good check on prowlers rules. But mixed is a better option to me, so we get both on the oldest miniatures (that is bakunin) and the other outdated from CJC (morans and prowlers) new scupts. Also, if we are gonna get another incomplete update, I prefer to have a little on every sectorial instead of only one half-updated or half-tested
What I definitely want in the Operations box is a new ZERO, they are really outdated. A Intruder in the Beyond Box would be grate, HMG or MR+LFT. A Grenzer is possible for the O-box too, ML or Spitfire. And of course a Moran I the BO-box.
I think Zero is "must be" for that box. Not Moran Masai, because there will be no 2 Infiltrators. I think it will be something iconic in main box. 7 models : Intruder HMG (or some new version), Zero, 3 x Alguacile, Mobile Brigade and Interventor or Hellcat.
What? No. If I am coming from Kaldstrom and Beyond I'd wish for (or better: demand) something along these lines: Operation AlephwasaMistake: 3 Alguaciles, 1 Zero, 1 new HI, 1 new Camo Trooper, 1 Moira/Custodier/Sin-Eater Beyond Operation AlephwasaMistake: 1 Mobile Brigada, 1 new Skirmisher, 1 new MI Kaldstrom had several new units for both YuJing and PanO ... I want something new as well. Not just resculpts. Here you did a lot of work for that I don't have time right now I only want to say: Lizard is supposed to come out 2020 already (said in one of the videos) you are right, we need new Wildcats and a New Bran do Castro. The last Kriza would be appreciated, although not necessary. But its a great model that's going to sell. And if we get a new Grenzer, please no sniper, we have that one already. How about a ML, Spitfire or BSG? a second new Zero could be used as well new Morans would be overdue, though I am glad with my Joe Scarface Turner and my Treitak Anyat
I'd really want to see new zeros and morans and some new units would be sweet as well. Tunguska could use a new unit for sure. Drop that useless Ashcroft mercenaries (waste of space) and bring something more useful instead.
Unfortunately ... nothing. But if a new Zero would be in the Operation AlephwasaMistake Box, then a second new Zero in one of the Booster Packs would be appreciated Right now we have two Zeros as well, Hacker and CR. The E/Mauler Chick was from the old Bakunin Starter I assume, so she's no longer available I guess. But if I look at the Hacker Zero, he still looks okay, so one new Zero might be enough. A BSG Zero would be great.
What about a new sectorial? I’m hoping CJC and BJC get updated with N4 and we get a new sectional in the operation pack. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
there isn't really much space for another nomad sectorial, and getting a fourth would mean discontinuing one of the motherships which is core to the faction identity. This is probably why two of the NA2 armies are fairly nomad centric. as for updates, I'd rather see both CJC and BJC receive SEF style ground up reworks then some half assed here's a wildcard or two and a HI in a core team update that doesn't fix any of the underlying problems in the sectorial.
black hand could appear, but that would mean for CJC or BJC (and after knowing that there is a new lizzard sculpt on the way, my bets would be on CJC) to be discontinued with still miniatures to be resculpted. The problem for us is that, if there is no new sectorial, then old units will dissapear from the roster, because otherwise there will be no "space dessign". But the "faction identity" is usually ignored by CB, so..who knows what they would do?
Black Hand would IMO either be a Vanilla Plus faction like Onyx, or an NA2. So as an excuse to update Corrigedor and Bakunin a little at the same time it might work....
Why would adding a new sectorial to Nomads automatically lead to discontinuation of another? Is there an official statement from cb to only support three at a time? Afaik PanO has five sectorials at the moment and only one ist officially discontinued.
Black Hand, conceptually, would be absolute fucking trash without major modifications. Seriously--a special operations/intelligence group that used nuns as their "core"? We got what we would have from Black Hand in Tunguska. Be grateful they didn't try to shoehorn more shit in. Not really. Cutter's getting done for N1, yet it isn't part of WinterFor. The TAGs for CJC are in a good place, it's the starter set and stuff that came pre-Icestorm that is a dumpster fire that they should have just ate the loss and pushed CJC back instead of insisting upon the nonsense they did. There's no real "faction identity" to any of the factions anymore, outside of arbitrary statblock shifts.
black hand uses nuns the same as bakunin, so I don't see any problem. There are a lot of units that have worked for black hand... moiras (not sure if custodians), kusanagi, bandro, spectrs, mary and maybe even interventors, but also there are the templars, and there could be some illegal AI. But yes, it needs work, of course, the same TJC needed before its release. Well, there are still some of those "faction identity", is just that CB neglected for some of them, so it seems that there isn't anymore. And there is also the fact that each faction has more than one "strong point". Remotes has been one of our strong points in the fluf since the beggining, the same with hacking, but we also were the most mobile faction, to compensate the lack of raw power in the early N1 and the alternate-tech. Now hacking is a secondary tool that don't fullfill what the lore says, we have been for n2 and half n3 the slowest faction (thanks to TJC we are not so bad now) and in alternate techs..well, now pano is has more ODD than us, and they got Full auto while we have still the most overrated MSV2 (don't get me wrong, intruder is good, but not as good as some people wants him to be). For 2 editions the "remote topic" was represented by having pi-well and meteor (one character and one trooper more than other factions), now we have the pupets billie and the zondmate, so we have the numbers in options. But not the quality (bulleter, ruishi and now the new yj camo one, and I don't want to put alpeh in here). but for EC, they remain the same since N1, untouched (and I think it is ok). The same for aleph, haqq and ariadna (which got a little check last year for their total inmunity dogs). YJ and pano are the ones that more noise make about loosing the "faction identity", while the most ignored one is nomad's
In this context when I say faction identity I do not mean what are we good at on the table and how the faction plays, I mean what the faction is conceptually play style and play identity can change and evolve over time, so unless we pick up a fourth ship I don't see us getting another sectorial, and to reiterate I would much prefer to see our two old ones get fixed and updated properly. As for Black Hand, I hope it never happens. I hate sectorials that are just vanilla's greatest hits but with fireteams (OCF) from design point view. Additionally BH are always seen as cherry picking people from across nomads to carry out a specific mission with a bunch of merc support, you know what that sounds a lot like? Vanilla.
