Ofcourse I take doctors in my lists, the Tokusetsu of my JSA did miracles in the past. Even my Brawler Doctor was reliable. But if I have a scalpel in my hands there's always someone in danger ...
I don't care for probabilities that much, I just throw dice. It works or does not. Sure, I take the advantage when I have more dice and/or superior numbers for face to face rolls, but it's just a game and not science. If it's fun nobody loses.
That's probably a better way to look at it, and I admire that attitude. I've never considered bringing a Brawler specialist, even though I painted up the whole box, because WIP 12 is a psychological block for me. The number of times I've faced off against a PanO player and watched them kill their own guys because their trauma doc rolled a 13 has caused it to be a running joke. I always just settle on mutisnipe, LT, decoy as my Brawler fireteam and ignore the other profiles, which is a shame because I really do love the models.
It is built into the game - trauma docs have to fail! It's a PanO rule. Off course my Brawler doc failed his roll, and not only once. But he also succeeded more often than not, as well as my Tokusetsu doc. And I admit that it took a while to see it just as a game. A really good and good looking game. I'm a mediocre gamer at best, and right now I took a break from gaming - I was too dumb to play adequately. So I'm looking forward to start again with Operation Kaldstrom and Code One.
Dear Friends, I hope all of you are well, and I wish all of you the very best in these difficult times. Please stay healthy! LeFrank
@lefrank I’ve stumbled across your painting blog while looking for Nomads paint schemes. I know this is going back awhile but I wanted to ask how you achieved that blue-grey hue. The examples I was thinking of was the Sputnik and the Taskmaster. Cheers and keep up the amazing paintwork.
For the blue-grey I use French Mirage 70.900 as the base and Glacier Blue 72.095, both by Vallejo. And off course white. For the shading I mix purple with black and glaze it in the deepest shadows. I hope I could help you. Cheers
yeahh conversion ! I love this spitfire model, nice job painting: top job as always, I've got a converted riot to paint also I will be sure inspired by your work ;)
