Well that's a surprise .... (according to Bostria those are competetive results of Interplanetarios and Sattelites) I'm a "bit" surprisng to be honest.
Well truth be told I'm surprised (greatly) by both the worst and best faction ;D Also: Tunguska - TOP BALANCED FACTION :D you can now toss a coin instead of playing tournament :D
I think that result is largely influenced by the community's perception of ASA, and not whether or not they're good on the table. If veteran players don't think a faction is good, they won't take it, and it won't generate good results to offset the poor ones. I know some very strong ITS players (@deltakilo , @daboarder , @Foxbringer ) have used the new and improved Shock Army to great effect in ITS. For me, in 2020, they took me to top table at Las Vegas Open Satellite. I know a lot of PanO veterans understand that ASA is probably the best way to play PanO in ITS. I personally think it's one of the top playable sectorials in the game, and I love that it's a well kept secret. But if it isn't perceived as strong, like VIRD is, then it won't get taken to large events.
It's not separating minor and major victories, so JSA might be scraping a lot of minor wins but not winning overall tournaments due to TP.
Very funny/interesting that this chart is almost the opposite of what is echoed around this place.... not that there is no merit in public perception, but just ironic to say the least.
Also worth mentioning that it might be the relative lack of model availability influencing things. Can't be played if you can't be bought! And yeah yeah yeah, you can proxy...but where's the fun in that?
Is just strange Acon so bad Merovingia and caledonia best ariadna factions Shas worst faction of CA? Ikari and Forco better than dashat?
It's the problem of raw data that isnt actually telling us much beyond a binary. Like someone said above, theres no qualitative aspect to these scores, just quantitative.
You should already be used to CB manipulating data to adjust to their own interests. Expect CB to announce, a few months after N4 release, that in the end they are not going to update support for ASA in ITS arguing that data shows the sectorial is in a need for a deep rework (which will be of course a lie) that requires more time than what they can dedicate right now.
In the video Bostria says it is the collected data of the most competitive tournaments around the world.
Is this like the data used to tell us YJ players we weren't using Japanese units so it didn't matter if they took them away from us? Yes, really reliable
Well the last numbers we got were a) pretty garbage when compared to the API export for all year but b) still had a vastly higher sample size. This is about 1 country worth of tournaments for a couple months.... ... not exactly representative. Just look at Shasvastii at 395 games and 46,85% as well as Dashat at 48.57%... looks a little too suspicious. Someone might have built that DB query a little wrong. And even if not - WR is still a pretty useless metric. Average OP/TP is where it's at.
Hmmm, maybe they have a bug in their statistics extraction script? If you just flip the number (ie. just do 100-x, where x is the reported win %), suddenly the results become much more aligned to many expectations.
I find it both very nice and very suspicious how Morats are the top CA faction according to this chart.
The're all within less than 2% within each other, this isn't proof of anything. A few lucky/unlucky games and the order reshuffles. I'd also like to see average OP and TP count...
