can't call a lady knight a "Father Knight" Not really sure that's a very fair comparison. Link options on paper are way more interesting in Sval than in WB, NCA link teams are pretty much junk from the get-go. The flexibility in Sval combined with really great support units are what will make it competitive. half expecting Karhu to be some type of pseudo Warband at this point. they're in the LI section of the list
Linkability also makes a huge difference, if ORCs can be an HMG in a Fusilier team but a Hospitaller can't, there's your reason to take an ORC.
still, theoretically, why not that over a KoJ? Before you say "well its not an HMG, that's why". There's so many other HMG in the sectorials that can be a part of core, haris, etc. surely there is enough firepower in other places to compensate
Again, depends on linkability. Nisse HMG is great, but if you need 4 Nisse + Wildcard to unlock it's full potential then that's a huge investment over ORC + 4 Fusiliers. KOJ looks to be in the 50+ points bracket compared to the ORC in 30-40 (the Mrifle ORC is only 3 C1 points so it looks like they're getting a drop in N4) We might also get WinterFor ORC profiles, ORC with mimetism anyone? Essentially there are too many unknowns at this point.
sort of, I think Haris Nisse HMG is very comparable to the ORC in a 5 man. (though I don't think 4 Fusi + 1 ORC will be a viable link team.) You're comparing something with a spitfire to something with what will probably be it's lowest cost profile (or one of). Overall I think the KoJ will be a much better investment even if we get 1 ORC + 4 fusilier. I always joke about this with my friend, probably not going to happen though that would be very fun. It's certainly one way to fix them.
they link, so probably not. maybe if they are like caledonian scot guards, with 2 regiments... 1st make fireteam, 2nd camo
That's why I phrased it the way that I did, stating maybe they had profiles. ;) We saw it with Moblots, Metros, and Scots-Guard.
Sure as hell hope they didn't "always round down". Lumping 10 point models together with 19 point models and 20 points together with 29 is even worse than the 15-24 and 25-34 you end up with assuming regular rounding up at and down. Also hoping for the KoJ to not quite cost 50 points. Much better Profile than the old FK but still mostly a lot of stats. Slight discount and the MR Orc costing max 34 (as the 3 points in C1 suggest) would be appreciated.
Without looking as far as Ariadna, Order Sergeants are the good example of a linkable unit with a ton of unlinkable profiles. I'm waiting to see the full picture to say what I really think about the SWF but so far, I like what I see. We have standing firepower, visors on snipers and HMG and those can link, we have mobility, CQB competent guys, DTW and lots of medics. And we have a lots of negative modifiers. Yes, ATM, we didn't get revealed AD units and token state outside of Uma and the Kunai, we don't know if we'll have Auxbots outside of Peacemakers and it is the same about HD PanO units. But so far, I don't think we need to get scared. Fusiliers link, Rems, Hospitallers and Nisse should be enough to carry the sectorial if everything else is trash. That would be a shame, though, and I'm confident CB did a good job to give us something interesting even if not 100% the same as what it's supposed to be, but in last resort, we still have this.
IMHO, Svalarheima is like morat AF. Few cheap units, no camo troop (except the Ninja), no AD troop (morat have one, but he's not so good), some infiltrate, many FT. But also without warbands and without smoke... I hope for big guns and lots of BS mod (mimetism - 3,-6, MSV) etc. It could be not an easy army to play.
Interesting thing about Karhu. Same ava and duo fireteam has a Dynamo and we know that CB loves Motorbikes, so maybe they are motorbikes for PanO? Odesláno z mého Mi 9T Pro pomocí Tapatalk
