I'm pretty surprised that the Kunai is almost completely identical to the original (mediocre) ninja sniper. Would have been a great opportunity to trade some CC for BS.

So shit. Definitely. Spread the word. Knights of Justice is shit and should never be used. Just burn the miniature and forget it exists. Spread the word on Pan-O forums! Spread it in your local Facebook groups! Write it down in Data-Sphere "Objectively Shit of Justice - Knight of Never Use This"! Get Toadchild to remove it from Mayanet! Maybe now I won't have to face one. Now, how to trick them to think Swiss Guards are crap, too?
I'll say them too that Nøkken are also trash. An ODD+MSV1 Spitfire at about 30 points with FD1 is just the worst unit in the world.
@Mahtamori KoJ appears to be repackaged Father-Knight, which biggest problem was the one that plagued MO for ages; with each of the knights bringing in the same basic package their usefulness was decided by what unique capabilities they had, with Hospitallers' Doc together with Santiagos' KHD being clear winners, and Teutons being clear losers. In N3 F-Ks weren't really that useful, especially without Stealth. But their C1 descendant don't seem to have such cutthroat a competition, and it got MA, too. Together with changes to crits this will make for one tough mf.
FK was not a really optimal choice for anything outside of Icestorm demo games but once he got into fireteam with cheap dorks as an extremely fat Missile Launcher it got better. (shame about everything else in MO)
Well, while I respect this core problem, I would just like to comment that this isn't unique to the Knights, but a common theme among all factions where you get some units that are kind of similar, but different in smaller ways. That said, it is compounded whenever you have units that cost near or above 30 that you're expected to bring more than one of. Though I do wonder, if those knights are similar, would you agree that Shang-Ji, Zuyong and Wu Ming are functionally the same?
Oh, I fully agree. I was just commenting on this specific example, definitely not suggesting that knights are the only or worst case of this issue ;) Very close to it. The differences in stats are negligible in current enviroment; +2 PH and +3 BTS are nice, but not enough of a reason to choose, say, Shang Ji Spitfire over Zuyong HMG. Wu Mings are more of a sidegrade, because they bring some unique weapon loadouts to the table (and they don't have to compete at all once we'll get to sectorial level). Shang Ji are a bit like F-Ks, actually; they have some things going for them, but they face stiff competition in their own sectorial, ant that competition will be clearly a better choice maybe 80% of the time.
I'm mostly hoping that Jujak won't turn into a fourth same-same HI here, but when it comes to Yu Jing premium HI I think there's more difference and I see the Father-Knight / Knight of Justice as a Crane. Crane/KoJ - Hsien/Aquila - Hac Tao/Swiss. They're all fairly similar to their cross-faction counter-part, but they're not at all similar to each other inside their own faction, in my opinion. Blärgh. I guess I'm just hoping that CB will be better at figuring out the knife-edge difference that is units in their 30s and 40s and how that specific price bracket can't be treated as massed units expected to form Cores together with similarly priced units the way that Teutons, Hospitaller, Santiago, Zuyong, Wu Ming, and Shang-Ji are. Hell, it's not even a HI problem, units like Zhanying and Reverends kind of suffer from this, too. It sorts of removes the ability to effectively field the costlier units I mentioned in the paragraph above without dipping real low into Messenger Remotes and similar that are there purely for orders generated.
Going with Jing Qo as the female piece and Ye Mao Infantry as the male. Reversing that after watching the video, as Jing Qo was referred to as "he".
Do we think these new units in the Code One lists are the only new units in Winterfor and White Banner? Or will there be a couple more in the full lists? I guess we'll see tomorrow.
Profiles tell very little since they are cut for Code One - like the monk is probably going to be impetuous at very least Jujak trades even more PH than Zuyong for that sweet flamer, not bad tradeoff IMO Dire Foe needs more info about the skills, but he looks quite CC capable. List of C1 units also makes Beyond a mystery... Is the named character going to be in a Hero blister or in Beyond? Hype for new TAG!!! in before whining
Zanshi are still... Zanshi, but at least now that 1 point means cc15 Not worth it per se, but feels like a less terrible investment. The rest look nice-ish? Guilang and Daofei will carry the day as they always do, the Jujak is either missing something or is our linkable HI for White Banner, looks alright either way. Hundun gonna hun. Special agent +3/-9 looks wsy better than i expected. Shaolong monk is weird, was expecting eclipse at least. Looks on the level for vanilla merc stuff tho. Not a Liberto or even a Krakot, so that's good for balance-coin. Cerulean Canid is going to get us all hyped up for weeks. I wonder if Ye Mao are MI or HI.
The agent has a ton of skills. He is gonna have to be linkable to get into melee I think. I like all the camo stuff; Hundun might be a good filler for the Raiden-shaped hole in my lists if the HRL is reasonable (and if that dossier is true).
