DTW shotguns are going to make Haqq a nightmare for any CC units without smoke unless the DTW rules get changed.
Unless the Light Shotgun changes to Direct Hit only... I can't see why they'd have TWO exactly similar weapons by different names (Chain-Colts and Light Shotgun), after all. Direct Template Weapon E.g. Flamethrowers, Chain-Colts, Nanopulsers, etc
That's just awful. What's the point in turning shotguns into basically colt chains? And regarding the Hundun. We're just getting a worse version of the Hexa/Lynx.
Bostria thinks Boarding Shotguns will work that way in N4, but it comes with the caveat of "currently" and "in development". Light Shotguns specifically, not info just theorizing and extrapolating.
You say "worse" I say "cheaper". Particularly if the Jujak dossier had weapons flipped with the Hundun as people think, a Hidden Deployment Missile Launcher that's around 5 points cheaper than a Noctifier can become an absolute nightmare. In fact, if current prices are roughly kept, I can see that Hundun being priced at around the same as a Ryuken-9 HRL Bostria shared his opinion that Noctifiers and Hexa should be Hidden Deployment only and no Camouflage, but that's like his opinion dude.
Allow me to doubt about weapons dossiers flipped theory. They simply don't reflect final changes as already seen in units like Kirza and Kamau.
Still, she got staple weapon of MSR. Having a HD means she can be the pain in the ass model at the right place, where your opponent does not want her ARO desperately. But she'll be saying 'lol no' to their face. I'm in for that kind of unit, really.
That's a fair point, and we'll know the likely weapon options probably end of this week or at least in a month, but it's still going to be a hidden deployment unit at around 20-25 points for the combi, which is something the Lynx can't boast.
If Hundun has an HRL or a Missile Launcher, it is a big deal It would be a no-brainer defensive choice and nightmarish (for active fireteams) ARO piece both in vanilla and White Banner
We don't know the full changes so hard to say whether or not it will be good or bad. Maybe link teams are being toned down, and shotguns are being toned down as well to compensate. Maybe it's because impact tear drops can cause arguments lining them up. Who knows. How good this will be probably depends on how much 6th sense changes and whether or not link teams keep it. Yu Jing finally getting what is hopefully a cost efficient HD sniper will be a very big game changer for us. Like a Holo projector or Strategos it's the type of tool that scales in a non linear fashion, the better the player the greater the cost/return they get out of it. Our enemies haven't feared the unknown since we lost Kitsune. This will hopefully bring some of that fear back.
Also Bostria said in the interview that regular Ninja are going to lose sniper options because of the introduction of Kunai Solutions one - probably this one is going to be more cost optimized (losing Infilitration and DA sword would bring the cost down a lot).
Can't have a Bostria interview without fuckin YJ somehow. On the other hand, changes to crits are nice and I, for one, wellcome our new Blue Wolf overlords
