My initial plan for this one was to make the oval base a lava lake by painting it randomly yellow/orange/red and use some crackling medium painted black then add some OSL form the bottom of the rock (light from lake). The rock itself being black/dark grey with white dry brush.

But I like the effect created while airbrushing Valyndra that I've worked it as it was. Mainly black washing it and painting the skulls. There's certainly some extra work that could improve it but I'm not sure what and don't want to risk to ruin it at the moment.

I've messed too much with the camera's settings and it looks a bit more vivid than it is actually and some nuance are missing. It really looks more organic and defined than that.

I know I should work on my remotes but I couldn't help to see what I could do with Sprites and Pseudodragons

You're courageous doing small creatures like this. I was always put off by them. 28mm is already small enough.

I have been in a major fantasy mood myself lately and made quite a few fantasy mini.

Astonishingly, they were not that hard and even plaisant to paint.
My initial plan was to base paint them and use a diluted soft tone dip but I ended doing it the classic way (the pseudo-dragons, the sprites are a bit gross in term of sculpt so not that fun, but I love the wizkids' transparent parts as they are really rewarding once you know how to deal with them.

They were quite rewarding on the overall as I didn't follow any tutorial for those.

I did the black dragon a couple of days ago and finished the silver dragon today.

Silver Dragon (this one is the Path finder version)

Those two were based on RealSmith tutorials of their bigger version as for the Elementals (pretty much the official tutorials).

    Remaining:
    - Blue Dragon Wyrmling
    - Red Dragon Wyrmling

What else a greedy dragon can stockpile ?

Actually the pic is not nice with this.
I just base it with silver and ad a touch of candy paint (so yeah candy it is) and it end closer to a pile of gold/silver coins and jewels.

Thanks for the tips but no needs here.
I just painted the pile as it was provided with the dragon.
I could have gone with the lazy way and just makes it a pile of gold but it was fun to try.
I'll try to get a decent picture of how it really looks like.

Sadly the fire effect is not as nice as on the fire elemental.

Have you seen any good Asian dragons? I've been looking all over and can't seem to find many. There's one by Malifaux that's not bad but a bit pricy. I'm hoping someday Reaper will come out with a good one.

I didn't look into those as it's mainly because of the dnd campaign (on hold for obvious reasons) but if I spot some, I'll let you know.

Volfyirion may be a bit Asian (as in 'no wings') but may be hard to find as it was a limited production.

I let the afflicted elf provided with the Green Dragon Wyrmling as I have no use for him and didn't find it interesting enough to paint at that time.
But now that I have a quick and easy painting technic that allow me to get rid of such minis in a few minutes I finally did it

It wasn't worth getting out the light-box so I took time to have a family reunion.

Ok none of the two Valyndra and Volfyirion are present here but remember that the second Valyndra was send to my godson and the two others are already at my DM's disposal since last year.

I found two from the Rising Sun board game.

The first one is part of the core box
    [IMG]
The second was from the Dragon Empire KS so may not be available in retail
