Maybe. But the complaint was "that's a dumb way to hold a sword" and that's explicitly false in this case for a sword of that type. It is explicitly a guard, and one which exists in several different European systems. See the "side" guard in the bottom center image here, for an example of the type of guard I'm talking about.
If that is her pose i stand corrected. I interpreted it as the sword point being forward of the helmet while crossguard was kinda behind it. I see it may not be that way. The images of a fire-bird made us to expect some slim fellow, but we recieved a fatboi clad in fireproof power armor wielding a fat flamethrower. Fk me, and it got some traditional Korean decoration for its front armor. 12/10 for this stuff, totally awesome design if you ask me!!
What's the decoration? Looks a lot like the heavy flamers from the Naffatun and Marauders, but with more on the top so I would guess a Combi rifle + heavy flamethrower. Red magazines are always fuel in Yu Jing, cf Guijia, Xi Zhuang, Red Veil Tiger
In ancient times Asian countries often divinated through throwing woodsticks. Thus we called the results in 8 ways, 팔괘 for our tongue. 卦 for chinese mandarin, pronounced as 'Gwae'. The 'Li' or 'Yi', one of the Gwae, symbolizes Fire, battle, Red, South. Since Jujak is the guardian bird of South, symbolizing fire, I can say he bears the Gwae for perfect reason. Also.. Li is also used in Current South Korean flag, with four meaningful Gwaes. Thats why we find it awesome. P.S) The other Gwae, its Gun(건), Gon(곤), Gam(감). Which matches perfectly with Gun -The Azure Dragon (Cheongryong) Gon - The White Tiger (Baekho) Gam - The Black Tortoise (Hyunmoo) Damn CB. Its a hype. Massive hype.
