EDIT [ 11.03.2020, 5:50 GMT+1] It seems that after vigorous feedback from the community (thank you for your voices, folks!), we got this communication from Belen Moreno, the Marketing Director at CB. TL;DR version - Tohaa and the 4 sectorials will not be in N4 Army at launch in August. They will, however, be gradually readded during 2020 and they will have visual identification that separates them from factions / sectorials that still have models for sale, to avoid confusion in newcomers. Like I said below in thread, I appreciate the professionalism and clarity of the reply, as well as the fact that CB has taken the feedback into account and apparently changed their previous course. This is a welcome solution that both allows the company to conserve their workload capacity and doesn't leave loyal customers behind. --- It's time to show CB how happy we are that we have to bin our entire armies. This is not a delayed release, CB will readd them to N4 only if they start making models for them - which is entirely probably "never". @Bostria This is a mistake. You are making people's whole armies unusable. I can kinda get sectorials, but a whole vanilla army? THIS IS A MISTAKE. You will lose a whole lot of good faith with people with this move.
Please don't talk in my name. A game like that can't carry all its bloat advitam eternam. Difficult decisions have to be made.
Please do not presume I did. And they need to be communicated about. Instead, people are being kept in the dark as long as possible.
Oh look. It's Uprising again. But with like... 150 times longer head notice, and presumably a lot less units being made unavailable in their respective vanilla armies.
I'll believe it either when Gutier says it or when Army updates. Unless it's a very old sculpt, in which case it was due to be replaced anyway.
I'm not sure any amount of head notice is going to make that pill easier to swallow for a lot of peoples, at least with Uprising, your JSA models could be used for... well the new JSA. This... Make a lot of stuff pretty damn useless. And to think i wanted to start the game last year with Tohaa, i really dodged a bullet there, i'd have a lot of useless pewter in my hands.
I do have a lot of useless models on my hands now. I've spent last few months learning Tohaa, participating in ITS leagues and tourneys. Now I only have a few months until my whole army and playstyle is invalidated. Does it make me want to support CB with further purchases? Let me think.
I doubt there will be any confirmation until it is not possible to cancel the Defiance orders (or at least, its totality). To me this means no more buying CB products until they deny this strongly.
That is true. Defiance actually do not contain any Tohaa figures (it's all Spiral)... that's not confirmation, but low key supportive of that that Tohaa getting iced is true.
I mean, I can ALWAYS cancel Defiance payment. It's as simple as paying with VISA and doing a chargeback when I change my mind. It's not like I don't have time until November.
Isn't Uma Sorensen there though and she's an exclusive in one of the supposedly axed PanO sectorials?
Again, I don't subscribe to the notion that units are necessarily axed along with their sectorials. I would not bet against someone putting money on the table saying Uma will be in Svalarheima.
I mean, if CB moved all of Tohaa profiles into Spiral and left it at that, I'd be probably cool with that. But if they don't, I'm losing Ectros Gao-Rael GaoTarsos Gorgos Kamael Kotail Makaul Nikoul Sakiel Sukeul Taqeul That's a huge heap of models reduced to paperweight and a whole gameplay identity ripped out of Tohaa. Even if I want to proxy, what can I do? Run Gorgos as not-Anaconda? Gao Rael sniper as not-Armand? Sukeuls as not-Brawlers maybe? That's about it. Neema is there but regular Ectros aren't? Kaeltar AVA1? Eh.
