don't know if its just my model but the barrel and the supressor's metal is super soft and bends wildly at the slightest touch. has anyone got any tips or advice to make it more sturdy/ rigid?
Sadly that's quite common with Aleph sniper rifles, especially ones in female miniatures with lead content (which most, if not all, Atalantas will be). The best (though not easiest) solution is going to be replacing the barrel with brass rod, which will require drilling into the main body of the gun and the muzzle device.
thanks for the reply. ,defiance will give me another kunf or if a proper kappa box comes out in the meantime so i can swap out my half assed conversion, i'll salvage a sniper barrel off them.
Minis manufactured in the past year or so are also in a lead-free pewter so they tend to be a little stiffer, and more rigid.
If you have a small drill bit, you can pin the suppressor with a piece of wire and super glue. I'm having the same issue with my Zhanying and will attempt this operation later today. Wish me luck.
If it fits the design, definitely. The muzzle on the Yu Jing breaker rifle is conical in shape with some added details, however, so I'd rather keep it. Not sure about Atalantas supressor, though.
Somehow I'd managed to read Zhanying as Zhanshi and assumed you were talking about the sniper. The Aleph and Yu Jing snipers both seem good candidates for brass replacement as you're essentially just using a very long, exposed pin to connect the receiver to the muzzle device.
