Original post has it as "Knight of Justice of the Order of the Hospital". That would indicate a specific rank or duty within the order, one with access to alternative equipment for Infinity's purposes. Right now a generic Hospitaller covers anyone from Initiate-Private to Pope-Marshall or whatever their odd rank system is. Think of it being like Regulars are to Fusiliers, same organisation but different gear and local flavour.
Looking at the cover of the box it's probably that guy. Single antenna HI for Knights so far means "light" Hi with ARM 3 like Magisters/Teutons. Best guess is we're looking at a lower ranked Knight, either adding a seperate option or replacing Magisters for the Sectorial.
In the current hierarchy of the Order of Malta, Knights of Justice form the first rank among the Knights of the order. So yeah, I would really lean toward not full-power knight but more toward a Magister with different loadouts, stats and maybe only impetuous.
Anything that has "knight" or power armor implied is trash unless proven otherwise. Source: MO player.
I would beg to differ but every tastes are in the nature. Must be meta based too. Each time I play knights, I solve some of my problems by CC. Each time I don't, I tend to lose a lot of orders to not get tied in CC by just passable CC units like Irmandinhos or Dogfaces (McMurrough excluded, of course).
So for winterforce we can expect Fusiliers WinterForce Orc Troops Nøkken, Special Intervention and Recon Team Infirmarers of Saint Lazarus Knight of Justice (KOJ) of the Order of the Hospital Knights Hospitaller Joane de Arc (I'm guessing) Trollhunters Niesse Jotum Remotes The standard universal doctors and engineers
Or maybe the knight of Justice link with knight of Lazarus in same way as Magisters link with teutons
yeah, me neither, but is what CB decided to write in its consistent and infinite wisdom....... like a Daofei attacking a Hospitaller in cc.... so probably it means nothing and by "sniper rifle" they get a "heavy pistol"
Sval basically fixes all of MO's problems to make Knights viable by default. Simply by having Fusiliers. Order Monkeys, cheap Core Linked HMG (if you want to burn your Core on them), Lt Option. Current MO would be easily playable with AVA5 Fusiliers. Sval probably also has better Hospitaler Links than MO, simply because they don't have access to good fillers and backup pieces like a Nisse HMG. Most of the knights in MO are pretty good troops, at least the Frenzy ones and Magisters. It's the choices and limitations around them that make MO meh. Probably a good idea to figure out a way to go about things a bit more objectively than "me hates Spesssh Knights, cuz duh, reasons".
The more I think about it, the more the idea of winter themed speehs muhrines, backed with snow trooper Fusiliers appeals to me. Idk. Might be the Viking inside me, lol.
Still worried Sval might end up without proper area denial. Haven't seen anything like Minelayers, Perimeter Weapons, Warbands, Helots or expendable Auxbots. "MO but with Fusiliers and Nisse" is already playable, but only TJC levels of playable, not Shasvastii levels of universally good with several choices.
That's what I'm expecting but there is nothing sure. But the loadouts and stats may be different too, more shooting oriented rather than CC oriented. Because, the more I see it, the more our "generic Magisters" are in fact only Magisters of the Teutonic order (which would explain their WB behaviour) and we could expect something different if CB wants to release Magisters from any other order. @Teslarod : I'm expecting something different from any other sectorial we have at the moment. But I can feel that SWF will be our heavier sectorial, with a good access to MIs and HIs and rather a limited selection of LI.
The studio scheme for the current Magister Knights box is Hospitaller. It was the N2 Magisters that were Teutonic.
Yet, the Magisters in Army are considered as Teutonic knights. I can see our old Magisters disappearing to become Knights of Justice while the Teutonic order will fall during the time lap separating us from N4.
I've been waiting for a proper pistol fighter for a looooooong time. I know Wild Bill is a really good pistol fighter, my issue with him is he has no deployment skills.
It's a preorder mini that's meant to go in a bunch of different factions. It doesn't need to be something unique and special. If the mini is cool I'll use it. If it's not I'll sell it on Facebook.
Nice strawman there. Does he go in your field? Oh look, a valid point that in fact supports my (admittedly broad) initial statement. Well I'll be! That being said, given C1 and N4 are around the corner, I'm going to wait it out as potentially everything is up in the air in terms of unit viability/options.
. Not used to people disagreeing with you on your well funded opinions on absolute minmax Profiles like Magisters and Santiagos? Merely found this comment to be utter trash and just felt like giving you some feedback matching the quality of the post. As much as I hate the composition of MO, Knights are about the best thing in there. And that's not really an argument as a very obvious Frenzy+Links=good kind of thing. Not that hard to grasp, really... assuming, dunno, basic math? Talking about this gem if it eludes your memory.
