Are there any seminars between now and Adepticon? If not, I think we'll probably be getting our first looks on the CB YouTube page once they start posting hype videos.
Wildfire Preorders and videos went up 2-3 weeks before Gen Con, with the first previews 3-4 weeks before, so if timelines stay similar we'll probably start seeing videos next week.
That Takemura description makes me think of a MMR ZC with marksmanship, some extra deploy but not ninja level, some camo but not ninja level, etc
I'd give them Holoprojector. Imagine leaving your ARO trooper in a dominating position, only for that "Zhanshi" in the back putting a bullet through his brain. Also, it was disguise - not hiding - that was the main tool of the shinobi. I'm curious about new ORC variants. I'm especially curious if this means Acon will get their own version as well. They could easily take over GdA profiles.
Because what was totally needed, however many years later, is a question to that burning answer of "WHAT MAKES YU JING NINJAS DIFFERENT TO JSA NINJAS!" Hopefully the bow profile finally gets a general release model, or they just cut it from JSA period.
Alternatively, something unique and interesting could have been designed to fulfill a similar role for PanO. Seems simple enough.
If blind speculation will ease anyone's mind – they are called the "Kunai" clan, and not "Katana" or "Wakazashi". It's possible this could indicate they're focused on short ranged fighting instead of CC
Doubtful, seeing as how they chose to make it a preorder bonus rather than an actual unit release at the same time.
How does that follow? It's going to be a new unit profile so it could be anything, even though "Ninja" has certain implications.
Pushing it as a "PREORDER NOW TO GET THIS FOR FREE!" versus "This unit is soooooooooooooo great, you'll want to buy it!" suggests to me a lackluster design profile.
Well that's a stretch. It's just a cool Ninja dude (or girl) to incentivise pre-ordering the whole thing. I doubt CB considers game performance when it comes to pre-order exclusives. And even if they did, I wouldn't trust them to gauge it accurately anyway.
I don't have Red Veil, but I think it's similar. Hippolyta in Wildfire stands in the middle of the board and attacks everyone via ARO's, even though she works for O12. In Coldfront it's the same with Wardriver that works for Ariadna, and in Icestorm it's the same with CSU fighting even though it's a PanO company. So sure, going forward folks can hire a ninja, but in the actual game it's just as likely to be a YuJing agent that goes rogue because they want a center ARO piece.
It’ll be a fun mini, and we’ll use it or not. Some will like the profile, others will hate it, n many will shrug their shoulders and move on, and the world will turn.
I think kunai is a throwing weapon, and the fluff is about ranged ninjas with sniper rifles, cc is kind of out the window already
yeah, neato – though when I think of throwing knives my mind doesn't go to sniper rifle. Kind of the other end of the spectrum. but yeah, very cool
Trench Hammers? I'd use that. Personally I'm more interested in the Justice Knight. If they're using it as an opposite number to the excellent and elite Daofei like the box suggests it must have some really good gear, and it doesn't look like it's Camo. Maybe we'll get some Eclipse Grenades, or an MSV2 HI?
Definitely something vaguely CC related and possibly command as well. "Order of the Knight of the Hospital" sounds so weird to me though. Is that not a Hospitaller knight? Is that just a weird translation?
Could be something in the vein of Father or Magister Knights. Those are all “grades” within the individual orders.
