I just want updated models for tank hunters ML and AC and a female Spetsnaz with a rifle. Mandatory Kazak doctor in Kazak link. and some kind of options with the vet Kazak so I don't keep just taking the AP HMG each game.
Now I didn’t say that I agree that it’s silly 112 can link but the Kazak doc can’t. Also the 112 model looks very out of place in a true TAK list. Just personal preference.
I will never do that. The 112 with bike is an excellent resource for TAK. The point diference with the dynamo allows you to squize more things in your list. And the shotgun is a nice weapon for a bike. Everybody expected the linkeable kazak doctor. But if I had to choose, the 112 is cheaper and one of the three linkeable shotguns we have, the cheapest one by a big margin.
For CHA I would like to: S.A.S: add some profiles with Ambush Camouflaged and some with Minelayer. Mormaers: add +1 wound or at least No Wound Incapacitation Cameronians: add Berserk Wulver: add smoke grenades William Wallace: I think that he deserves Narutal Born Warrior Add to CHA Pavel McMannus Add some Specialist profile (in wulver, mormaers or grey rifles) Add at least one profile with Chain Of Command for to support William Wallace.
At some point though, sectorial need to be different and have strengths and weaknesses. I am extremely leery of suggestions that are just, give this and this and this to my sectorial, because they risk cutting out flavor.
Exactly what of my little tips would cutting out flavor of factions/sectorials? I think it's things like these that cutting out flavor of factions/sectorials: Everybodies wants the strengths of a sectorials but nobody wants the weaknesses.
It's more a matter of balance. Cameronians: They are already cheap for what they bring. There's no reason why they should be gods of CC. Mormaers: While I agree they need some help asking for more Wounds is not the solution. A second wound is a big no. There're no human sized units with a second real wound unless they equip a servoarmor. There's one exception, which is Sheskin. But that's a monster. And about adding NWI, fine BUT with the condition shock inmunity must go. The trend of asking for Shock Inm + NWI must stop, it's a dirty exploit that pisses on real HIs. Veteran Kazaks have been the only unit as such since the beginning of the game, until recently; and because they are something really special. Wulver: Right now there's no CC unit with 2 real wounds that can form links that has access to smoke/eclipse grenades. It's not healthy for a game when you can have your cake and eat it. Wulver are already fine, specially after getting Cadin to complete the 5th member. Other than that, I think lankyOgre's comment was more on the line of asking for CoC and for more camo (ambush camo on SAS, Adding Pavel) when CHA is not an army with camo as identity
Something like that. My comment wasn’t directly related to any one post, but more a general comment of many requests. Every army having the perfect combination of CoC, specialist HI, 2 wound links, camo, mines, MSV, TAG, etc is not necessary. I like that there are choices to be made.
they had it in N1 because in the rules HI in power armor had shock immunity nested in its class along with being vulnerable to EM and hackable (N1 rulebook page 170-171). Ariadna heavys weren't treated as HI for purpose of the above effects oh the good old days where being primitive was a huge positive when EM ammo could shut down guns (combi, multi, HMC etc), armor and equipment.
I see NWI + Shock Immunity as a good way to go for a HI-lite, and I actually like most of the new units that went that way. This approach allows for a greater degree of flexibility, and I see no reason why it couldn't seep into Ariadna. I always saw VKazaks as exactly that - veterans, lifers, with most of their abilities coming from years of service often spent in the thick of the fighting, and only partially from their equipment. Mormaers are a prestigious regiment; the fluff states that a lot of them comes from the ranks of nobility. I assume them to be extensively trained, and of course lavishly equipped, but serving more like an armored reserve than a spearhead, and thus seeing less action than their Kazak counterparts. And this is the logical place for Ariadna man-sized servoarmor to come into being, but instead of a light and mobile HI-light they can be slow and lumbering ARM 5 tanks. Hell, they're a logical unit to become CHA's SHI.
I think that CHA really needs at least a chain of command profile, because now we can't play William Wallace in the battle, but we are forced to keep it hidden in the corner so as not to go into loss of lieutenant; and it's a real shame for this great fighter.
Thats the idea. However I still think that Ariadna should get true TAG that will perform MBT role. While Blackjack is decent and does his job, Ratnik not so much.
