Yup. You just declare Move and run up the walls. What's annoying is when you get stuck higher than S1 from the ground. It makes them much harder to repair.
Does anyone know how the Iguana operator interacts with Show of Force? Does it still count as a TAG for scenario purposes, or just HI after ejecting?
Ah, I was looking at Comlog which doesn't include Operator in the listing. The PDF does say "possesses the Operator special skill" which is not a thing, though the meaning is clear enough.
I am yet to find any place for the Iggy where a Gecko (or any other of our TAGs) or pretty much anything else we have would be better than it. Hopefully the Iguana picks up another STR or AP in N4.
The operator is worth all the points for holding zones or surviving points, so if you can hide it after ejection you can have any efforts to kill the TAG a non-scoring task. Not sure that it's worth taking still but it is a natural advantage that has won me games.
I did try it in capture and protect once to run up the table cap the flag get shot on the return trip and eject/warp the pilot back to my DZ. It was a stupid meme but it was entertaining.
It is absolutely hilarious when it works. I took it to a tournie to do that. Druze EM LGL took it out first order of the game (I wasn't running an Engineer because most people figure that they're easy enough to just shoot).
lol and also, like you're ever gonna repair an Iguana hahahaha. On the plus side, it looks cool, and makes an excellent Lizard proxy.
In other news, how good is running up a Moran just out of chain rifle distance of a bunch of Kuang Shi and putting it into suppression! Killed like four of those frakkers haha
Yeah, when I say just outside Chain Rifle range I really mean just outside move + chain rifle range. So like 16"-26" ish from ext impetuous chain rifle troops is a good spot. They impetuous move towards you and get shot (unless your opponent sacrifices orders to restrain them, which is also a win). If they're outside 16" by the end of their move and you're in cover they can't even hit you with their pistols (Kuang Shi pistol crits are OP, yo)...
I used my Iguana in a mission a little while ago. I forget the mission, but the plan was to charge it up a flank and cause havoc/take objectives and then when it popped launch the HI across the board to take other objectives/cause other havoc and deny VPs. Instead what happened was it ran right past a JSA TO ninja-dude who proceeded to CC it and then crit with his monofilament weapon, insta-killing the whole model. I laughed through my tears.
I'm pretty sure they had to make an engage roll to get engaged, even if you walked thru them. But I've lost an Iguana to mono-mines (are those still in the game?) so I know that feeling. At least he isn't one of those 100 pt. TAGs.
