but in order to take advantage of the spitfire range, you must advance, risking your troop o spending orders securing the way. A linked HMG can benefit without leaving the deployment zone
No matter what way we split it or what we compare it to – bottom line is that BS 13 MSV2/Mimetism HMG in a 5-man link would be a new milestone for "Best gunfighter". it pushes the already stretched line just a little more.
Has it's downsides though (assuming you can't just run 1 Nisse HMG+4 Fusiliers). Also might be entirely okay with N4 on the horizon cleaning up various rules interacting with Smoke, Vis MODs, MSVs etc.
I'm assuming best-worst case scenario. 4 Fusi + 1 Nisse. As I said before, this comes with the giant asterisk that we assume that N3 rules/mechanics remain mostly the same. There's a lot to be hopeful for and looking forward to, but at the same time this is an opportunity for CB to push the power creep.
we're assuming that N4 will change the fireteam rules, but what if only do that with rules from the basic N3 book and not the Human Sphere book?
Now i get what the Nisses were all about with their long guns, camo and nods, they´r just larping The Big Igloo force
We're getting Code1 and the new PanO/YJ Battle Box at Adepticon, no guarantee that Svalarheima won't have to wait for N4 at Gen Con though.
they also said Code1 would have its own "Army" which I would imagine will probably be an option or another "tab" on our current Army. If they're going to update it then I don't see why they wouldn't throw in the Sval update aswell. at the very least I would say we'll get some new profiles
Not everything will have Code1 stats though, which is why it needs a new Army Builder. I wouldn't be surprised if we just get rules for what's in the box like we did with Coldfront, and the full rules later.
Code1 is supposed to be beginner friendly. Assuming no cammo, impersonation... No complex rules in general. Sval sounds fairly like big folks with big guns with not a lot of tricks ( OM anyone? ). So maybe, maaaaaaaybe, this is the answer. OM will be gone to make room for Sval ( that if I am not mistaken it already has Hospitallers ) and some of the knights will me moved from OM to Sval. This way we get our N1 PanO army, with low model count, no complex rules/interactions and durable specialists.
A trooper with complex rules in N4 can still be in C1 with a more simplified profile. Wildfire includes troopers with Albedo, Ambush Camo, Protheion, Counterintelligence, Hacking, Zappers, etc, and the simplified intro rules just drop them from the profile. Remember that C1 is getting its own Army Builder so that points values and profiles can be different between the two games.
tldr the whole thread, so no clue if someone had this brain spark already; Was reading a bit in uprising just now- paragraphs about JSA held Koritawa area/city on Sval. It is technically within Pano's Solokov, and the uprising there ended with strong formalized (trade)agreements there. Who really knows what was said or agreed upon in those days. How about giving Sval. sectorial some Haramaki? I guess they could not all have perished there. Doesn't need to be them ofc. Just a sprinkling of ava 1-2 JSA troops, without treading too much on the hospitals claims to CC-menship on PanO's side of the planet.
Could be interesting to have some Tanko as low AVA “enemy of my enemy” inclusion... especially if it’s limited like to the Blitzen option.
in case anyone missed it, Carlos confirmed 3 new sectorials this year – Sval winter force being one of them
He also confirmed that the Adepticon box will be Operation: Kaldstrom and will feature White Banner vs Svalarheima! (We knew it was Yu Jing vs PanO before, but this confirms it is the sectorials)
If they don't get linkable Nisse with fusiliers, we will hear no end of crying about Varuna getting linkable Kamau and Svalar getting none of that epic goodness :-D
That remains to be seen but it does look like the most possible. Where is this information? What is the other sectorial besides White Banner and Sval?
