    From the Super Jump skill:

The user may declare the Jump Skill as an Entire Order to add up both his MOV values into one single mighty jump.

    Yes, what colbrook said.
Step 1 - Kill the competition (ARO pieces)
Step 2 - Entire Order Super-Jump to assert dominance

But they're now in the midfield. So Pitcher + Possession and Entire Order Jump them off the building. No more TAG.

Or under range them, because they're closer to you.

Breaking up every foreland with scatter isn't necessary to stop this.

My meta keeps piling more and more terrain on the tables as we accumulate stuff. First we filled them with scatter, and now we just keep making them taller. We value TAGs because they can vault all that garbage and get stuck in. I haven't played an honest euro table in forever and I feel like I'm gonna get my ass kicked when I do because I'm just not used to that lifestyle anymore

Build more tables rather than pile more stuff onto the same one.

I'm a huge fan of the philosophy in @daboarder 's primer (unsurprisingly because it's written about the tables in the place where I learnt to play):

    https://forum.corvusbelli.com/index.php?threads/22949/

It's fairly typical of the Australian meta. Table density is fairly similar: main discussions are around doors, interiors and the prevalence of difficult terrain.

I helped out at Novacore (one of the two Australian satellites) and one of the things we made an effort for was getting enough terrain on the edges and in the DZs, which can otherwise really cruel particular lists. Once that was ensured we also tried to make certain no firing position was too dominant, but we left in a mix of long range and tighter tables.

There's certain table designs I like more and some I like less because of how they impact movement.

This is @daboarder personal table which I really dislike playing on with lots of REMs: the little fences inevitably get in the way of where you want to put your REMs. It'd often be awful to play on with a Maggie for the same reason. I've learnt that lesson, so when I'm playing a casual game on it I avoid lists that rely on S4 mobility.

OTOH the LOF and cover on it is really good (most roofs don't give cover to S2 so it limits the amount of sniper spots). It's probably the densest I'd want to see for 'scatter', because any denser will make S4 and S8 basically unplayable.

i wish i got to play on tables like that. our tables look like that at first and then somebody puts boxes in every intersection to block fire lanes. its really annoying.

To be clear, I posted that table because it's one where I certainly notice the limitations of S4+ movement (because of the ground floor extensions to the buildings). Adding more scatter terrain and further disrupting the relatively open areas is absolutely going to make certain SILs basically unplayable.

There's another cool thing about that table though: most buildings are total cover for S7 but it's really easy to make the terrain able to be vaulted onto by TAGs by putting vaultable scatter up against the walls. Sure you'll lose cover doing it, but plunging fire can be extremely effective if used well.

My favourite part id that the roof parapets dont give cover to s2 but do s3.

So infantry are prone and done see anything or standing and need scatter.

Is that a hard rule? because I can see that working while at the same elevation, but when firing from a lower elevation up at something behind a parapet there is a fairly good chance a 3rd of it's S is covered and should therefore give cover.

It's affected by elevation. But for the vast majority of circumstances you won't get cover as a S2 from the parapet: it's too low.

Resurrecting the thread since I want to bring a dual gecko for 2 missions in a tournament in a month time.
I am forced to not play with my main army (TJC) because of the missions selected.

So I am going back to CJC that I stopped 6 months ago. I want to bundle Safe Area and BiotechVore. The last mission is a custom one, with a saturation&difficult terrain zone, in the middle and asking to melee down zombies (FYI) so very specific and warrants use of bandits and Deadpool+boyz

Anyway, I thought I could make a dual gecko work for Safe Area and BiotechVore, since they bring specialist for end game point cap in the first one, and have a good mobility in duo with tactical awareness to fast move out of the deadly zone.

Is that the best that can be produced?

I feel more comfortable replacing one of the Geckos with another Intruder, the MSR one this time to have some ARO presence and snipe down people running warband heavy lists

I want to double szalamandra so bad. That FA2 is taunting me. The only problem is I can’t think of a competitive way to do it.

I'd drop the Tomcat to go full Core with the Jags with a Dak or Lupe added in.

    So:

I think it has large problems as a list vs a lot of opponents, but it's certainly playable.

Personally, I'd prefer something more like this (I know, lacks the Duo).

Thanks, but dropping your engineer when you run double tag sounds very risky!
I like what you are doing with your second list. 6 people able to mix in the link / Use the Duo with Gecko gives some great flexibility for deployment and nice order efficiency.

Incredible how hard it is to make a nice duo Gecko list

Both BTV and Safe Area score points by living: Nomad engineers primarily remove states from your TAGs. An ISO or IMM Gecko still scores.

In BTV in particular, you're likely to have issues getting the Tomcat to where you need it. So I think it's less useful. I'd seriously consider a Lunokhod over the Tomcat in the list I proposed. But Tomcats are great for Safe Area and (if you're lucky) Classifieds in BTV.
