whats up you mother lovers? Had a game yesterday after a long LONG time, went to do a classic Joan list and suddenly there are some new profiles i had no idea. So whats the deal with Wild Bill, John Hawkwood and Kendrat? Are they any good? do they have a role? Any other profile change that i have to be aware off? thanks
John has a lot if potential as a reasonably tough midrange gunfighter and possibly as CoC for specialist capabilities. I'm not super thrilled on Bill even though he has 6-2 move, hes just not as good at winning in ftf as our other options in that price range like crocs, but hes got some nice perks. Kendrat is nice, but a bit short on range bands and burst to really take the spot of a renegade. She can be brutal if you can clear the way for her, but it's going to rely a lot on the map.
yea, but he is so all over, is like he competes for gunfigter with the spit ZC that is cheaper and has camo and for specialist he is so expensive that you may as well grab a KotHS and be done with it. Have you tried Bill in a game?
Hes about 10 points cheaper than a KotHS and really only loses unconscious state, a lil bit of PH but gains bioimmune, ammo type, mimetism, unhackable and a DTW. That's a very good trade. The ZC and Hexa spots are nice, but in vanilla very limited ava. They also bring things to the table that fill different roles. John has more in common with HI gunfighter than skirmishers due to resilience and he can eat mines with bioimmune bts 6. I've been trying to get one of the local Ariadna players to give him a whirl with US. No dice yet.
Also Holo2, Bs14 and antimaterial cc with extra damage from ma2 for points. Thats the thing, i feel that when you have to pay such a premium its better to go all in (maybe the only way to play vainilla really) I remember that bioinmunity+bts6 in the Bolts, it never worked for me hahahahahahaha, bad luck will have to roll them out in the same list and see who makes more points
I mean DA vs mono, it depends what you're trying to do. BS 13 plus mimetism is usually better than a flat 14. Holos are a nice perk though for safe mine/perimeter removal.
I mean, not that much has changed. We've gotten some trickle releases, but the last quarter of 2019 was a lot quieter than the last quarter of 2018. We're not getting a new sectorial every 2 months, which is letting me catch my breath a bit...
You bet. Q4 of the year is usually quiet for me... Fewer tournaments than the rest of the year, and busier with the rest of life. But hey, new year, new opportunities to play games
