Is there a shas painting thread?

Since I didn't want another red and black army, I went for green. Works with yellow as well.

 

Mine are almost painted in the studio scheme. Pictures of the Nox are in the October Painting thread.

 

I started a thread before hand but its grown stale.

 

From the Poison-Frog-Idea in this thread I got my inspiration (and confirmation) for green and yellow. I'll maybe try a blue Nox as well ...

I really didn't want to do the black and red. And wanted something a little more vibrant. Too many of my other factions are darker, or more realistic colors.

 

Yeah, exactly my thoughts. After painting Tunguska in Red and Black I wanted something different. I wanted to substitute the red for green because I know how to get a pretty vibrant green. And the idea with the poison-frogs sealed the deal. I liked this comparison so I tried it. And the green and black scheme can be painted pretty fast and is looking pretty good as well. For some variation (I already have three Nox and more are coming with Defiance) I tried yellow and black. At first I wasn't sure, but it turned out pretty well. Also pretty fast. Mine is the Amateur version, but you can see the Pro-Version from @Edtaher above

 

here are my corn folks! this is from August-September I think. Really enjoyed the color scheme, so already have a plan for spring-summer to repaint rest of my CA sectorials in such scheme.

I like very much that choice of colours :)
And I did also buy a tray like yours, my plan is decorate it the same way as the bases of my Onyx/Shas army. What is your plan for yours?

Ps: I used the lists you advised me on discord and they performed awesome :)

Thanks for appreciating my color scheme.
This tray is really awesome, as I have a sheet of metal installed and my minis have magnets in the base, this way light collision with someone won't matter that much. no plans on decorating it, as I'm pretty terrible at painting stuff, just don't think it will look good enough by my standards, also won't do anything with it as I carry it inside my feldherr mini plus bag (which I highly recommend).

Edtaher, your minis look awesome! I'll try that for mine (though a simplified one: I have Shasvastii only for defiance and because they were in wildfire)

 

I was shooting for a naturalistic evil blue/green with orange, pink, and tan accent colors (my painting skills don't do justice vs. how I imagined it... Haha)

 

I started my CA rather recently, I'm one Raicho and one and a half Shas into painting the army. There's not many models, but I think the scheme works well.
