I don't think he's that boring. High WiP, Flash Pulse, good dodging. IMHO he's nice, especially with that cost - I think he got Bioimmunity, BTS 6 and higher PH just to add few points and make his a bit more expensive than a Ghulam. I'd prefer V: Courage or Dogged to show that he can sacrifice himself to get to his ally and heal him. Still maybe his nasmat will have something like this (if they will trully try to make it personalized and original ;) ). PozdRawiam / Greetings
Contrary to Billie, Gaspar wasn't published along with the controller's profile. Which makes me believe it is just a standard Nasmat rules-wise. Though I'd expect it to be packaged along with dr. Rouhani once the model becomes available for Infinity. Because it would give CB a reason to charge us for it. Not that I'd object that, anyway.
Well in Vanilla he competes with the Ghulam Doc+. Does he compete well? IMO, yes. 1) As an objective grabber, Bioimmunity and BTS 6 is not insignificant. Mines/Koalas are a regularly seen and serious threat for any specialist trying to grab objectives. Rouhani dodges them on a 10, and even if he fails, is way more likely to tank than not. Jammers are also a known thing for guarding objectives; he is much more likely to be able to ignore those too. If you're playing ALEPH nanopulsers are a lot less of a concern with BTS 6. 2) Strictly superior as a Doctor. Not by much and it doesn't really matter but he is very strong here. 3) WIP 15 Flash Pulse is very relevant and strong, if you engage this guy within 24" he's got an ARO that's probably hitting on better numbers than you unless you're packing mimetism or whatever. Downsides; 2pts more (not a big deal) and no Rifle+LSg (SMGs are good but +3 up to 16" is important and the LSg on a Ghulam Doc has saved my halal not-bacon many times). Overall an interesting variation, one is better for objectives I think, the other for pure doctor support. Link options will be relevant. And also, I want to see if his bot is just a regular Nasmat.
I've been making noises about hypothetical irregular+TAw doctor in Haqq for a while now. Probably Khanate is where such activists will feel right at home. Absolutely. While we're at it, I've been saying that having stereotypical Haqq character to play in Defiance was a significant argument for me to get the game at all. If I'll be able to convince my friend to pool for one, I'll be in.
Yeah Defiance is supposed to be like, characters as faction identity So the PanO lady owns loads of guns, the Nomad lady is an awesome hacker, Haqqisman is an amazing doctor, the Ariadna character is a meatheat luddite etc
Well, he competes directly against the Ghulam Doc, counting as Ghulam in both QK and RTF, and being 2pts more expensive than the Ghulam Doc. Ghulam Doc is better armed for straight-up gunfighting (the standard Rifle+LSG), dr. Rouhani has better WIP (15 vs Ghulam's 14), and is more resilient to some ammo types (with Bioimmunity and BTS 6). He's still able to hold his own in a gunfight, packing a SMG for close-in work and a Flashpulse for long-range ARO (pretty dangerous with his high WIP.
Since he can't go into the Zhayedan Fireteam... I guess you mean you aren't putting him on the table then?
For me it's an easy situation -> Rahman is going to push my Snake Plissken Doc into early retire* ;) Rahman is much more interesting, not only having that 5% more chances to heal. And Allah knows how many times I rolled 18 on the Doc Plus... I can only think that he would be awesome in HB... would leave Leila free to walk around with muyibs or something else... And we could have an extra "Ghulam" to maintain that 5-link bonus after losing someone
Actually, that's a big one. I guess I was too carried away with our new Asawira-led cores to think about that.
Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see Rouhani in the Bahram options. I only see him in generic, QK, and RTF.
