Agreed that would be reasonable. This wiki article gives the impression that most Uighur names are Islamic, though, so Lei Gong isn't a distinctly-Uighur name.
I have him in a list for an upcoming tournament, but the list is not shareable yet. Much depends on how he can be used in fireteams or if the CoC option is also available in vanilla.
Now you can run an extremely dumb but flavorful fireteam with 4 characters! (that is still better than the max tacawareness meme link) But seriously a Zhanshi team with Lei Gong is the most efficient kamau killer in the game exchanging a zhanshi or a fto baggagebot for a dead sniper (4 normal shots on 16s hell yes). still won't make IA even a little bit competetive but at least gives a really fine soldier to it

Got it. So I tweeked it a bit and put the Shang Ji in with the Zhanshi link. I keep finding it hard to get to exactly 300pts. and stay limited insertion. I kind of feel that Lei Gong might be better on his own. While one was predictable this one would not be. Keeping in mind that it took only a couple of days and was probably mostly them needing to do database management to get rid of Duo from those profiles. Predictable and telegraphed ahead of time, though.
Probably going to be a year or more. I think all of their work went to Defiance. How about doing stuff that's been out forever! You can tell they know Shang Ji suck just because they haven't come out with any.
Lei gong will be featured in the next aristeia expansion box though, so we might have a mini for him sooner than the other defiance stuff.
I'll use a Tiger Soldier to proxy him, since they two share a cool armor and a big backpack. This way I can finally play a Tiger in IA :o)
I think I'll use my Liu Xing. It'll actually give me an excuse to use that otherwise useless lovely model.
